- How to work with Hades in deity work is the topic for todays video. In greek mythology, Hades is known as the god of the underworld and has many fascinating features to him especially when working with him in witchcraft for beginners. The god Hades is known for many things, one being the kidnapping of his queen persephone. Other people are scared of him because they believe he is evil but that is strictly not the case. In todays video we will go into Hades Offerings, crystals for Hades, Hades Sacred animals, and Hades mythology. He is an awesome deity to work with, but be warned that he is stubborn and requires attention when working with him. Deities for beginners, deity work for beginners, and all of the stuff below that can be difficult when trying to find information on deities and their lore behind them, but today we will make sure everyone gets the knowledge they need in order to work with Hades properly! I've been working with Hades since last October and let me tell you my life has changed completely. He's taken a parental role with me and allows me to call him 'father' or 'dad' and I am so so so thankful for him. Guidance to new people, you have nothing to be scared of he's the most understanding ever. He does however get upset when you don't talk with him after a certain amount of time (in my experience with MH) or if you don't take care of yourself (taking care of yourself can be a good way of being an offering by the way!). Take his advice and guidance, he knows what is best for you.

So true! Before he came into my life, I had a horrible habit of not taking care of myself. Especially my teeth. When I started working with him, he gave me rules to follow and always nudged at me to get going. Even when in a depression he would poke at me and tell me to brush me teeth. It sounds stupid but because of my deities I’ve taken better care of myself than I ever have.🖤
Just a tip what i have learned, when you build this relationship with hades. You can put personal offerings that you and hades would know the meaning or a good memory you had together. You are building a relationship with your deities, so it good that your showing how great full his help has been in your craft! I am a baby witch i just started to work with hades so this may not be entirety correct but i say its a great tip!
As an experienced witch, I agree wholehearted and appreciate your tip! With deities it is easy to think you have to go strictly by-the-books, when in reality you're right - the relationship becomes more personal and it's only natural to express that with personal offerings symbolizing your past experiences together and personal gratitude. 🙏

Absolutely! i’ve worked with hades for about 3 or so years now, and this is accurate! personal/relational(relational as in memories of your relations with him) offerings are great for deities(just make sure it isn’t in conflict with his mythology)

@nana-wj9gn You'll just know. You'll have to trust yourself, your intuition, and the message that you are getting. One thing I did before I started working consistently with Hades, and wasn't quite believing he was reaching out, was to ask for a specific sign. I centred my sign around cerberus. Aware that I was unlikely to see a 3 headed dog in my day to day life, I simply asked something along the lines of "Hades, if you're reaching out to me, please can you send me 3 black dogs within the next few days." I don't really know or see anyone with dogs, and don't have them myself. So this one made sense to me as I couldn't give myself confirmation bias. I was also open to receiving the dogs via social media or on someone's shirt, overhearing a conversation etc. I got my 3 dogs within 15 ish minutes of scrolling tiktok. I'm not and have never been on dog tiktok. So that was how I knew. I hope that makes sense and you'll be able to apply it to ask for your own sign 🖤💙

@gh0st0rbzz18 me too, i drew him from a dream/meditiation and he also had golden eyes and most specifically a widows peak. but yeah, long straight black hair, id say about to his shoulders or so, big cozy robes with some swirly/knotted types of designs on them, the base colour was black and the designs were like bronze and gold and silver, he was pale and clean shaven and he had a very warm and kind smile
I had to share this experience! Before my contract with Lord Hades, he is so good to me like I ask if he wants offerings and he said no OMG HAHAHA. I ask if I want to call him father and he suggested to call him that from now on. I don't even have a proper altar for father because I'm poor af. anyways it's good to work with father and mother (Lord Persephone).

OMG THIS IS SO FUNNY me and my friend were talking with hades because we both work with him and we were using a pendulum and i made a heart with my hand and he made the shape of a heart and my friend started saying the dad we didn’t realize we needed and the pendulum started going yes and it was vvv strong :>

I found this video "randomly" and while watching I was actually refreshing a tea for Persehone and coffee for Hades. I just felt like commenting that I mainly work Persephone but because of how closely she and Hades is, my altar is split with half being Hades and half being Persephone and the center being their candles and a merge of them. and I thought of a memory that shortly being samhain that I went on vacation and i felt like Hades wanted a sugary beverage and bought it for the altar. then realized he wanted it for Persephone when she returned to him and I thought it was adorable
hades actually reached out in a unusual way to me! I never knew the signs of hades, however I had a friend who worshiped him. she came to me about 2 days ago, and all the sudden she whispered to me “hades wants to talk to you.” I researched him, and I found it funny that he mainly went for mentally I’ll people. I haven’t talked to him yet! I’m gonna talk to him later this evening! I also put some money, cinnamon, and mint on my altar!
I love Hades, he's easily my favorite god of all time. I've made a lot of sculptures and drawings of him for a long time. I think he's a fair, kind and reasonable deity. He's tough but fair, kind of fatherly.

Hades has been the father figure I didn’t have growing up. He’s strict but fair, he’s compassionate and always wanting to help when I’m feeling down. Even times when it’s my “time of the month” and hormonal and emotional because said hormones, hes mildly upset he can’t help cause it’s just a symptom that will go away on it’s one. But he always tries to comfort me any time I’m emotionally struggling.
I feel like Hades has been calling to me more and more >\\< I need to make sure that I take his advice no matter what though!!

Some funny stories from my years work with both Hades(will refer to him as dad/father) and Lady Persephone(also may refer to as mom/mother):
Both dad & mom love when i give offerings they’ll give me coins
when asking for advice, Father is BRUTALLY honest but Mother is usually nicer about it(still blunt though)
He just straight up… gave me a dog? he was just like “i know you love Cerberus, so here. A pitbull!” and got my parents to adopt Lucas, my newest dog(as of rn)
he asked for selenite once? idk why- i think cuz mom mentioned she liked it at some point and i think they were in a fight and he used it as a gift to her… it was kinda funny

I worked with hades for a while and then got lost on my path as a witch. I feel better now and am interested in getting back to my craft again now. Yesterday i was watching Tiktoks and it was like i was struck by lightning. "Hades" came to my mind and it wouldnt leave so i set his altar up again and felt he wanted black coffee with sugar and honey as an offering. Been feeling his presence ever since. I just feel so safe with him around. I think i will also set up Persephones candle again, it made him really happy last time i did that

I would like to add that If you can't find black candles (like me) dark gray works as well!
Also he is very understanding. He doesn't want anything to go his way and he is not absolute about that. He can see and understand where you are coming from and what you've been through. If you are like me who I'm dealing with depression, he understands why sometimes I am unable to take care of his altar.
So respect is the key. If you make a mistake, apologize and do your best so you won't repeat this mistake.

Got a bunch of crystal chips and saw a chunk of pyrite immediately thought ‘ooo that’s shiny I’ll put it on my little alter for Hades’ (it’s very new) had no idea it’s something he would actually like. Been obsessed with growing and eating mint over the last year as well so it’s nice to know that these odd things I’m doing actually make sense ☺️

This video was very helpful, yesterday I asked my sister whose a very experienced witch if they could see if Hades is calling out to me. He was… for 2 years and I never knew. I had a long convo with him and I loved it! I’m keeping his candle that we used to call him in a tiny jar to symbolize our first ever connection/convo. One of my first offerings to him to show my commitment is a tattoo, I’m designing it and so far he said he loves it.
Also our convo got very meaningful and deep, he was happy in some way that someone knew his pain and what he went through. I told him I’m sorry for what you went through and I know how it feels to be hated for no reason and to be a shadow to everyone including your family. I think he almost cried when he was speaking through my sis.
Hey man...love your videos helped me a lot with my Hecate alter 🙌🙌...I just had a small question, can I start a Hades alter within the Hecate place? As I'm short of space at the moment and I have more than enough signs for Hades to start working.

I’m new to working with Lord Hades, but I’m also a practicing Christian. He reached out to me, and has very much helped me. I’m eternally grateful for that, but any advice on how to mix both faiths so that I’m giving him the proper respect? I do want to continue to have him around, and I have a small alter to him, but I’m nervous and reticent to go further because I want to do it right.

So I take Wiccan beliefs, pagan beliefs, so on and so forth, then utilize them to my own accord. Still following the guidelines though because as a white male witch, I must follow rules on closed practices and so on out of respect for other cultures, so closed practices I do not implement in my workings because it's not part of my culture!

Hades and any other deity are energies within our subconscious mind and when we work with these deities or say we meditate as being hades when you repeatedly do this over and over again your activating that energy within your subconscious mind. And when you get a answer it’s your subconscious mind that gave you that answer to your question.

Ok.. this might sound weird. I've been called to work with Hestia in June, and I totally understood why she reached out. The last year has been very hard with a depression and I'm currently looking for new work. I feel very drawn to working with death, like a funeral home (but the work hours are impossible for me), and I was looking into getting a degree in helping people deal with loss and grief. The more I consider doing this, the more signs I seem to get. The meditation I did asking if another deity besides Hestia was reaching out, I didn't see him, but I did keep seeing the shape of his sceptre. The next morning I woke up with the words: follow the bats, repeating in my head. I've also been dreaming a lot about the underworld lately. Last full moon I lighted a candle, and the shape of that candle after burning it is the exact shape of his sceptre once again. Could it be? Could he be reaching out or am I just overthinking this...
The fun thing is this morning I was talking with Hades because my friend works with Hades so I asked him hey should I wear these pants and he said no so I wore a different pair of pants. In the other pants pocket there was 2 dollars and I literally sat there not believing it at all

From what I have seen and read, mint is okay in small amounts! Mostly cypress and crystal offerings are really good for him like the black obsidian, onyx, black tourmaline, jet, and even pyrite! Hades is actually my patron, and I can clear this up. But because Persephone turned Minthe into mint, mint is not a good offering for Hades. However, he is pretty polite and he might not actually tell you because he knows you had good intentions. However, mint is a good offering when it comes to working with Persephone.

I’ve worked with him for almost a year exclusively now… can’t say good enough things about working along his path. Very calming and pragmatic presence but also not too cold. There’s a patience and humor about him from what I’ve seen. Not too into ego puffing either.

if you are already quite spooky you could start making him a little space with some bones and shells, he likes those, also old coins (try thrift stores and antique shops), and for an offering of service find a local graveyard and tale care of it, or volunteer with dogs or owls, i hope this helps
How many deities do you work with as a whole
Seven going on eight once I can get an altar set up ready! It's... A lot lol. Constant maintenance on offerings etc etc.

Hades was rarely seen on earth because he had his hands full with the Underworld where he was dubbed as merciless ruler who would often go mad due to lack of moral discipline. He was considered stubborn, never kind and could not be persuaded by any means and, just to make things worse for the inhabitants of the underworld, their living conditions were just dreadful and even Hades himself feared of this chaos being exposed to other gods and mortals.. is this True ?

Most deities don’t mind not having an alter if it would put their followers in danger, so you don’t have to have one. Some people have mini-altars in small tins or boxes, or set up temporary outside alters
Would a black obsidian skull with a black obsidian raven on to be a good stone?
Its still black obsidian so it will be just fine, especially the skull since he is the god of the underworld so that is an excellent offering!

Nope, you do have to give time for the deity to make them feel respected but they will only make you “sacrifice” or lose a part of yourself that is actually harming you.

I think Hades has been reaching out all my life. It's really comforting to know that a deity has respectful and actually a decent guy has been their. Back then you would ask the Father for marriage, and the wife and daughter wouldn't really know till it happened. Now today it looks a little messed up, but for all intents and purposes he did everything right when it came to that. Not saying he was a perfect deity by any means, but compared to others he is genuinely a good guy. And ngl, Demeter was the helicopter parent and would rather let the whole world starve than have her daughter leave her which I think says more about her than hades tbh

Hmm…. A little part of my character is like Hades. I hate people that came for my advice, at the end of the day, either they don’t believe me, or they do things the opposite way. When they hit the shit, I would scream “Go to Hell!”
Hades just doesnt put up with peoples shit. Its give or take. You take his advice or you don't. And if you don't listen and do the opposite, he gets mad!

@@maggiechang9956 I agree, I think whenever you are working with a deity from the otherside/underworld/death you better be ready and listen with humility! You can get amazing support and removal of obstacles, but you better mind your p's & q's (or you will regret it :)
I think people should trust the ancients on this one: even the surviving texts we have from the best magicians of the Graeco-Roman-Egyptian world in the PGM and elsewhere from Neoplatonists, etc. didn't dare work with Hades directly. Work with Hekate, Hermes Cthonios, any lunar deity or Persephone if you absolutely feel drawn, but I suspect there was a good reason Hades was considered even more taboo than Set or Typhon.
I think the energies of the world have changed. And so have the people’s minds!
There were a couple of places where Plouton was actually the patron deity of the community so it's not like you could never worship Him outside of funerary contexts
I chose to worship Jesus Christ but I ended up possessing hades instead. I’m a Scorpio and our planet is Pluto the same planet of Hades. Hades has dwelt inside of me before and usually shows up if im going down the wrong path or if I’m in a situation I can’t seem to get myself out of. When he’s present it is very real, ppl notice and they usually seem scared as shit, dogs will lay down or bow at you, people are nice af and the connection to nature is just orgasmic beyond human comprehension.
I’ve teleported I’ve had encounters with other Gods and they are all very real.
Why? I don’t get why folks work with death deities
We're all going to die someday. Might as well be on good terms with the beings we'll be under the care of
@@WildMen4444You're right but people who ask this question are more thinking that the purpose of life is not to get ready for death. Whereas the people who are drawn to them probably think the opposite. There is no right or wrong answer.

Hades was rarely seen on earth because he had his hands full with the Underworld where he was dubbed as merciless ruler who would often go mad due to lack of moral discipline. He was considered stubborn, never kind and could not be persuaded by any means and, just to make things worse for the inhabitants of the underworld, their living conditions were just dreadful and even Hades himself feared of this chaos being exposed to other gods and mortals.. is this True ??
Not really, in several myths you can actually see that he is really kind and generous if you approach him with respect. E.g. the Orpheus myth :)
I chose to worship Jesus Christ but I ended up possessing hades instead. I’m a Scorpio and our planet is Pluto the same planet of Hades. Hades has dwelt inside of me before and usually shows up if im going down the wrong path or if I’m in a situation I can’t seem to get myself out of. When he’s present it is very real, ppl notice and they usually seem scared as shit, dogs will lay down or bow at you, people are nice af and the connection to nature is just orgasmic beyond human comprehension.
I’ve teleported I’ve had encounters with other Gods and they are all very real.
