I'm going to buy these paddles and i wish to ask you two questions.
1) To improve sensory awareness, are these finis instinct paddles still the best solution in your opinion?
2) I see you bought the smaller size and your fingers show over the edge of the paddles a lot. Did you buy the wrong size or is it the right one?

can these exercises be done with regular paddles?
You could, but it’s a lot harder to focus on the scull because the paddles are so big they kind of “get in the way” of the specific feel of the water, which is the point of scull. Hope this helps! 🖤👍🏻
