  • While stuck in lockdown, I have made a video running through my current lures that I am using for tailor with a few videos of recent catches in-between. Cant wait to get back out there.

    Steady solid sideways wind with the Richter Plug once hooked up. A favourite after learning they were not shy to smash them. I snip one hook off the treble (the downwards one to keep it sorta symmetrical), if I use them for Tailor because I find the third prong makes it impossible to dehook, and although there's two prongs left they usually are more easily retrievable without having to maim the fish to get the hooks out. Jumping is the thing to try stifle I reckon, they shake out cos of the weight of the lure.

    You must have been crying when you lost the Boon! Cool vid, I don't think you can go past the boon in washy areas or ripped through open sections of reef. I've caught some serious fish metro in areas most people wouldn't think to fish! Crystal minnows work well in the Swan for me depending which colours you use 😊

    Do you reckon there is any advantage to using stickbaits rather than metals for beach fishing? I only have metals since there are a lot of pricy stickbaits/hardbodies. If they are better though, I will probably go get some

    • @DangasTackleTips
      @DangasTackleTips  Před 3 lety +1

      I think they definitely get a better bite, you sacrifice casting distance with the stickbait but worth it in the right winds

      @@targettstephen3924 Hey mate i would start with a savage gear missle (28 gram) as they are a top lure and only 8 bucks a pop if you are just getting into it. A richter plug is also a good lure that I have had a lot of success lately. Once you get into the groove I would get a few nice stickbaits mate
