Pat was acouple of years older than me, but when i was15,a friend of mine ana i took a bus to Hollywood to see a concert. When the concert got out the buses were not running. Pat rode us home to Long Beach on his moped. Thats my legend of Pt Brown!!

I got into pits 30 years ago, shit I got into pits 35 36 years ago. years ago. I'm almost 50 and still do. I gotta say it's a different world today and a different scene. Like nofx said, " When did punk rock become so safe, when did the scene become a joke, the kids who used to live for beer and speed now want their fries and coke. Cursing and flipping birds are not allowed, in fact let's keep the noise level down." We grew up in a different time, this was new to us and it was wide open, over the years it became a formula, a recipe, no spontaneity, no uncertainty, no sense of danger. At some point, and let me be clear, there's exceptions, die hard hold outs, but collectively, punk was declawed and had its teeth removed. I'm just grateful to have been around before that. I've been to great shows in the recent past but overall it's not the same. Call it progress, call it an evolving scene, I call it watered down. Our salad days may be gone, but I will cherish this shit for the rest of my life. I remember ma saying it's a phase, hell grow out of it, rest in peace ma, I guess it wasn't a phase.

The punk scene was decent in daytona for a while in the late 90s. I 1st heared this song when i was 15 in 99. I felt chills run down my spine. I still jam this shit loud as fuck. In fact this song got me locked up a few times as recent as 2020. Im 38 and drugs alcohol and the army and Afghanistan fucked my body up. Idk if i could jump in a pit
