Little Boy Saved by Texas Cop With LifeVac

- A little boy was choking on his own saliva in Austin, Texas, and officers’ efforts to save him were recorded on bodycam. One officer grabbed a crucial piece of equipment - his LifeVac. He raced over to where another officer was trying to revive the child, whose lips were turning blue. They laid him down on a utility box and applied the LifeVac. It took multiple attempts before they were able to revive him. Inside Edition’s Steven Fabian has more on this rescue.
I’ve lost count on how many times there has been a story involving the lifevac.

That mom actually did a really good job. She was fighting her own panic attack and still trying to relay pertinent medical information to the first responders.

Yes. I have full respect of those cops who saves that kid life and keep him breathing. Those good cops did a fantastic job unlike those bad cops out there. We need good ones on the streets. The good ones that shows compassion and kindness.

Asthma is no joke, that kid is lucky to be alive.
My Auntie was in this same panicked state when my cousin had his first grand mal seizure, she could barely use her words because she was panicking like this, I actually had to buy her a bottle of water at the hospital because I was genuinely afraid that she was going to pass out from the amount of panic attacks she had been having. A mother's panic when her baby is having a serious medical emergency, is no joke. So glad this little boy was saved, I hope he's doing better. Thank you God, and thank you to this officer.
Yeah, but believe it or not, people want to rag on those panicking instead of acting, but the reason they can stand on the sidelines and panic is because we subconsciously know we have access to other people who can help. But in an event where you find yourself alone without help, survival instincts kick in. It’s like a switch in the brain where it begins to delegate itself. Your aunt would have probably done something for your cousin if she found herself alone.

❤ I love to see such good news! My daughter had choked on her own saliva (yes, this can happen) about 10 years ago. She was turning blue. I hit her in the back slightly below the lower end of her shoulder blades with the heel of my hand a few times and she coughed it up. Scariest moment of our lives.

What a priceless moment when the little boy high-fived and hugged the officer who saved his life! As in asthmatic, I can emphasize that having an asthma attack is no joke. As the old asthma PSA slogan goes…… When you can’t breathe…… Nothing else matters. Also, his smile is priceless!
He had a foreign body in his airway. That is what the Lifevac is designed to remove. Nothing at all to do with asthma.

Side note about LifeVac, if your kids' school doesn't have one in the cafeteria. The school's administrator can contact LifeVac and they will send one free of charge to that school.
