Hey Rick, One card to go! I am so happy for you knowing how much you have put into this set. That Dutch Leonard is a beauty. I just love the shadows on some of these cards. The Ott and Leonard cards complement each other with the first name in quotes, the shadow, full body image and a similar color pattern.
This will be quite a collecting achievement when it is done.
Hi Terry! Yes, that Leonard is a nice one. Maybe one of the better cards of the set with that windup. It's been quite the journey to get to this point. Thanks for watching!
Congrats Rick on getting your search down to 1! What a journey, I'm sure it's been all worth the time
Wow. So close Rick. It’s looking so great.
Congrats Rick! I really like the image on this card with the head on follow through from the mound. Sweet card!
That is so cool, Rick! Wow, look at that image. I hadn't seen the Dutch Leonard before. Great looking card! Congrats and hope you find that last piece to the puzzle
Awesome Rick. Great looking card as well. Good luck on your search for the last one
Getting so close now. Congrats! I've yet to see a good deal at deans😂😂
I also bought a couple of years ago a very nice 1967 Topps Pin-Ups set from Dean. His price was much cheaper than what I found on ebay.
That's a beautiful 4, Rick. So nice, that I'm not sure you'd be any happier with the 8. One more to go..is that one that you're going to actively try to knock out right away, or work on other projects first?
Mike, it is a nice 4. With this set, I've learned if you find the card, BUY it. The common cards are not freely around. Only saw some HOF cards at Burbank last week.
That's a wonderful historical connection with Dutch Leonard and Lou Gehrig.
I never paid attention to the fact that Lou Gehrig spoke in between games. I always assumed he spoke pre-game.
