The Northern Lights in Southwest Arizona?!?

  • I actually captured the Aurora Borealis from my home in Yuma Arizona. Damn near in mexico! It is not much but I was able to get a brief timelapse. Also if you look closely, I also captured a metor shower.

    It was great here in Michigan, I was able to see overhead aurora and color for the first time, I’m hoping to see more tonight.

    Awesome!
    I was capturing a wide field view of M81 area last night and was noticing red noise in several images. I too am at 32N.

      mee too Pat.. I was capturing m81 and 82 with my redcat and 2600. my LP gradient was not right.. and this must be why. CS

      @@AZ4Runner Looking at the aurora map from services.swpc.noaa.gov/images/aurora-forecast-northern-hemisphere.jpg for tonight it looks like there is a possibility. North is good!

    Beautifully captured. Although I must say: This time it was a clear advantage to be farther north (Switzerland is at about 47 degrees). The spectacle was clearly visible with your naked eyes. But on camera it was just breathtaking, lasting at least for an hour.
