Deduplication: Is to take unique data by backup consideration by eliminating duplicate or reputative data
Process: data backup from Clients system to media agents in the form of equal sized blocks at that time signature will be created to each block saved in Deduplication database(DDB)
* two things happen in DDB
1) signature generation
2) signature comparison (compare new signature with already exists signature in DDB If matching data elapsed if not data saved in DDB)
* two types of DDB
client side DDB(Signature generation done here)
server side DDB(both signature generation and compassion done here)
