This is why I love CZcams. Both my parents were alcoholics and didn’t teach me anything about cooking, but thanks to this video and so many other wonderful videos I have been able to learn the basics and feed my growing family ACTUAL food! Thank you so much 🙏
💞💞💞
My parents thought they taught me how to cook, like reheating frozen pizza, the wrong way. I basically took over all cooking at 14.
Lol
Hmm my dad's an alcoholic and my mom cooked but never taught me . So I just started cooking at age 5 eggs and pancakes.. lol I do like smoking meat now
Hi DeLyse so sorry 😞 my parents worked I was the oldest by 4th grade I started learning how to cook there wasn’t no CZcams or cook books or phones to look up recipes I had to learn the hard way by taste and figuring out what cooks would put in food or by sight if you have questions I can help you I love cooking now sewing n crafting
I’m here at 5am cause I burned the frijoles and am trying to make new ones before my grandma wakes up LOL
THANK YOU FOR THIS! Very helpful!
Girl I’m making them for the first time 😭
@@gabrielamedel8777 lol lol lol. Me too! 🤭
Crock pot on low overnight.
eeeee you burned the frijoles. Chancla!
I hope it worked out!
It's currently 3:50 am . And I'm up making beans to impress my in-laws after church. Wish me luck 😅😅
How did it go?
This is so funny 😂
How did it go
same here at might time omgosh im stressing lol
So?! Update?!
Is anyone else lusting after that beautiful pot the beans are cooking in????❤
All of us. I wonder what brand it is.
ask her, simple
i remember my mom sifting through the raw beans to take out the "duds" before she put all good beans into the pot for boiling. my mom left us almost eight years ago 😢. your videos bring back memories of home cooked meals my family and i ate growing up.
You’re my favorite cooking channel! Growing up, I had no one to teach me how to cook. Now I live on my own with my husband, and can honestly say your channel has saved me! I follow all your recipes and my man loves it! Thank you so much💗
I'm 62 and live alone and I love trying out you recipes sooo delicious thanks very much!!!
Thanks for this video! I’m waking up the wife to an amazing breakfast.
Stuffed bolillos de chorizo con huevo y frijoles 😋
Lucky Wife! 🤗
Try H@H Chorizo....best Chorizo from the Rio Grande Valley.
#HandHchorizo
I made the beans following this recipe and it came out BOMB 🔥 thank you for the easy to follow directions 🤗 for someone that is barely learning how to cook at home, you made these so easy to follow
My mom cooked pinto beans often. She never soaked them.
When I began cooking for myself, I tried soaking the pinto beans overnight.
In my opinion the soaking removed all the flavor from the beans. I poured them out and never soaked a pot of beans again.
I cooked a pot of beans ( unsoaked) last week and made a pan of homemade cornbread. The best meal ever!
I love all your other recipes! Thank you for sharing.
did you use the quick cook method..boil then cool then change the water and cook again for 2 hrs?
All the flavor; All the farts
Yeah, my mother never pre soaks or pre boils or anything. Always taste good and Idk it never gives me gas or anything weird
Pre-soaking them helps them get rid of lectins some people are sensitive to lectins others are not.
Google leaky gut, and you will change your mind.
I love this recipe. I've made it several times now, and I won't do my beans any other way. I was afraid to use the jalapeno at first, but the flavor it imparts is so delicious, I now use two large peppers! I've got a batch cooking on the stove now!
How long did you cook them for
Came to cook beans
Fell asleep hard with that asmr voice instead.
Asmr , that's a new one. I learn something new every day. thank you.
brilliant
Great recipe! We did 1 pint chicken broth and 3 pints water because I had lots of broth. These were sooooooo good. Thank you for the easy recipe!
And in 5 minutes she taught us how to make frijoles de olla. 🤯🤯 I am a new sub and love your personal channel and cooking channel HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020!!!
Right?? I always thought it took hours & hours to make and look how fast it was made!!!woohoo!!
your Mexican and you don't know how to make beans......dam
2024 now.
Thank you so much. You don’t know how many times I’ve made something you taught us, in our home! 💚 We use whatever we have!
I can’t wait to try this!!! I’m 50 years old and I’m a great cook, but I have never mastered beans!! You have a wonderful and soothing voice!! 👍🏻
I just wanted to update you!! I’m making barracho beans today. I soaked mine over night, but I’m following the way you cooked yours in the other aspect. Then I’m going to add bacon pieces, hatch chili sausage, onion, jalapeño, tomatoes, garlic, chicken broth!! It smells wonderful in my house ❤️ Edit: Beer!!
@@Sabbathissaturday how did they turn out??
@@Becausing Hmmmm, E Wood may have just focused on the BEER.
I make beans regularly but I have large family , I add bacon & chicharrones on the final hour of boiling beans. Yummy
I’ve never done my frijoles with the pre boil method. I’m going to give it a try because every recipe of yours that I’ve tried comes out delicious .
I can’t tell a difference in beans soaked over night or pre-boil so I basically just pre-boil.
Love. Love. Love many dried beans. Gotta have neckbone, hocks, or streak o' lean in the pot! 🍜🥣🍞
I love the pot you cook the beans in!
My family loves this recipe!! Thank you so much for posting!!!🙏🏻
Perfect, I was looking for a recipe with the ingredients my beloved Mother used. Thank you for sharing
Simple, easy and delicious…love this recipe!!!
THANK YOUUUUUUUU! I normally add one onion, garlic cloves and salt. I’m going to try adding a jalapeño next time.
I did give your recipe a try. Even put two large and two small plastic containers of the pintos in the freezer, a great idea. Now, I can thaw and reheat the beans with some mozzarella cheese on top and serve them with anything; breakfast eggs, burritos, tacos, any salad and more. I let mine soak overnight then rinse twice before cooking to eliminate the boof factor. Pinto beans are a great universal side dish. As always I enjoy your simple but delicious recipes. Thank you.
Thank you 😊 this is how my mom made her beans. I wasn’t sure about the timing of the jalapeño, but you got it! My beans came out perfect! Thank you, thank you so very much. 😊
There is no set time to cook beans.
I always add bacon grease to my beans. They will be so much better. Just try it you will see. Love your cooking!!!
Woot Woot !!! I just made my first pot of frinoles ! I used your recipe, but made in crock pot. Aromatic as you stated , definitely add jalapeño. Thank you.
I love everything you cook, and I’ve made most of your recipes. You cook like me, but different because I’m Italian. I especially like your Asian recipes, that’s one thing I never learned to cook. Thank you for everything!
This recipe is amazing!! I always forget to soak my beans overnight. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! My first time making it and it turned out super delicious
I followed your recipe. Never made them before and made dinner for my mom tonight. Thank you for your help!
Easiest and best bean recipe 😋 really saved us this winter

Happy New Year 2020!!! Thank you for sharing throughout the 2019 year!! Looking forward to 2020 surprise recipes too!!! Aloha Blessing!!!
Thank you for the recipe. Actually made this today for my fam. Came out great 👌
Thank you for a simple but delightful recipe it's just what I needed
Thank you. Letting my beans sit for an hour since I didn’t rinse over night. So excited to see the final result.
My go to recipe thanks for sharing!
Omg love that trick I always forget to pre soak them. Love this
Thank you for the soaking tip!
Thank you so much! Excellent!
Going to be making this often. Love the recipe. Having it now. I do the slow carb/OMAD type of diet. Great flavor. Thanks for this recipe, and posting this vid. I love my beans spicy as well. The jalapeño accidentally broke like in the 4th hr of cooking the beans when I stirred..still tastes great. Definitely reccomend this recipe to others #muysabrosa
Thank you! Easy to follow and they came out great.
It's great to learn the different ways of preparing food.
Omg thank you so much for this recipe, I made some last week and they were so good!
Thank you for this recipe! I'm cooking it now! I can't believe how long beans take to cook! I'm excited though! 😊 👌🙌
GREAT! Loved the tutorial, practical, simple and very educational. As a Vegetarian I Love and eat beans and pretty much all kinds of legumes all the time and am now switching from canned to natural as it is healthier, tastier and financially mindful. Also, glad that it will fit perfectly in my weekly food prep routine when I'll cook the legumes with Tofu, steam the vegetables and refrigerate ready to eat all week. With Gratitude and Appreciation for the work you do. THANK YOU!🙏
Thank you, Mama. I have been looking for a good recipe on pintos. My grandfather in Mexico used to buy pintos and dried red chiles in bulk and then sell them back by weight to the town people.
He made good money. He had to. He had a large family to take care of.
Thank you! First time cooking beans.
GuRL you nailed it, in th summer i normally use canned beans with a few simple ingredients, BUT WITH YOUR IDEA NOW I KNOW WHAT TO DO, BIG THANKS SO MUCH, GOD BLESS
Love this!!! So easy to follow I can’t wait to try it. I’m Mexican but I’m not close to my family and I’ve been wanting to learn to cook beans at home, so thank you!
I found & have been following your recipe & instructions for over a year. This tastes just like my abuelitas. I’m the youngest of 4 daughters & my mother never taught me much cooking. At family gatherings I was Always assigned to bringing the drinks & bread. Now when we have family gatherings and I bring these beans, everyone compliments me and they too remember my abuelita. I bought two 70’s bean pots & they come out splendidly every time. I am hosting my mother, sister & Tia for a tamale Christmas Eve dinner this year & they will be so happy to have this delicious side dish. Feliz Navidad.
Great idea for pre soaking. I sometimes forget to do this. Thank you
Kids, listen to your parents; when I was younger in El Salvador 🇸🇻 my mom used to call me to the kitchen when she was cooking with the help “one day you’ll need to learn how to cook” she used to tell me, and I sniffed at it; well here I am at 45 y/o Googling how to cook frijoles 🥴. Great video, thank you.
Wow im going to try this thanks😍 looks delicious easier way
JUST pulled my beans off the stove top....took one bite and I fell in love! I DID add a lil more salt than you suggested (just for my preference). You can really taste that jalapeno with none of the spice! LOVING them!
Thank for sharing..Happy New Year look forward to your easy recipes.. i NEEDED this ..💪💪
Thank you so much for sharing!!! This was super helpful!! 😊
This is the best go to video for me to refresh my memory on how to cook beans! Thanks 👍😊!!
Always great. Thanks ☀️
Mmm 😋 Now I’m going to make these tomorrow!!
Love, love my beans!😊Thank you for a great year! Have a Happy and Healthy 2020! Keep the recipes coming! God bless!😊🤗❤🎈🎉🍾🥂🙌
Thanks! Setting aside some for later to make refried beans is something I never considered. nice cookware by the way.
I love to follow your recipes! You make it seem so easy and it's very detailed and it makes me want to do it with no problem! Thank you!💜
Oooh this looks sooo good! And I have fresh jalepenos to use up!! Thanks so much for explaining about not piercing it - have had some really hot peppers lately & didn't know how to tone them down a notch! I like a bit of heat but even removing the seeds & membranes didn't really help. And am about to make a pot of pinto beans for dinner later! I will be adding a whole fresh jalapeno.
You're amazing!!!!
Making it now. Great tips.
Love you're kitchen!
I love your posts. So easy to follow. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Just yesterday I thought about asking you to do tutorials on prep-ahead and freeze menu ingredients, then changed my mind, thinking how most of your videos have to do with fresh ingredients. Next day, New Year's Day, I see a video from you doing very nearly the same recipe for beans that I used while I still had my young children at home as a divorced single mom and had to be frugal about groceries, prepping, storing, and cooking foods. Ground beef was another item I cooked in large quantities then divided into smaller containers and froze for future meals. My two boys and two girls were all good eaters - I was always grateful to God that they maintained a healthy weight and were rarely sick. I made a lot of one-skillet or one-pot meals my adult children still remember fondly. I did this out of necessity, but the bonus was, making meals from scratch was much healthier for them than buying pre-made, pre-prepped, or boxed ingredients. This was before health-conscious and organic foods became more widespread. I admire your thoughtful, careful approach to meals for your family at such a young age. You got it goin' on 👏
Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for doing this for us
nice recipe.good illustration.thanks
Thanks for sharing
I’ll be making this right now
Looks Delicious think I will try. Thnks 👍🏿
Can't wait to try this!
WOW! I love this simple recipe. A also like that you showed us how you meal prep it as well!
I always learn so much from you! I’m making the beans right now . I I’m going to try all three ingredients. I will try the freezing method when they done cooking.
I loved this!! Thank you thank you thank you!!🙌🏼
Omg..... I love you for sharing this!!!
😘
I found your video a couple months ago; I've used it several times now, and I'll keep referring back to it until I have the recipe memorized. Thank you.
I love the pot! And the stove ❤️❤️
Will add this recipe to my list as well!!!
I like the pot as well!
Saw your video today and made them! OMG!! Perfect combination of ingredients! Delicious! I’m eating them now with a avocado! Thank you!
I love that pot! It looks like enameled cast iron. What brand is the pot?
This was very good. Simple and to the point. Some other videos, they just ramble on and on and on. It like, get to the point already.
When I made beans, I put bacon and a bay leaf. It's so good that way.
do you cook the bacon before adding and cooking it with your beans or do you put it in raw and let it cook with the beans?
Great recipe! Thank you!
Yummy ❤ we eat beans almost every day . Good source of iron . Love this page
Good recipe. Thank you
😊
I always meal prep my beans in a similar way(but in a crock pot) - great like you said for making some refried beans later :)
I made some pinto beans in my instant pot a few months ago and they were ok but I'm still a newb and I am still learning so the flavor and liquid ratio wasn't quite the same. :(
Love how simple and tasty these are😀😀
I've never cooked my beans with onion or a jalapeño..going to do this the next time I cook a fresh pot of beans. I freeze them as well..I usually make a large pot too. Thank you for this tutorial and Happy New Year!
