  • 10.11.08 - (CLICK UNDER VIDEO TO RIGHT TO WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY) We visited this ancient prison known for most of the years in operation as one of the Dept of Justice's Top 10 Most Violent Correctional Facilities. The rectangular complex covers 19 acres with an imposing and formidable 3 block long facade which belies the cramped, overcrowded and inhuman conditions for which the penitentiary became so infamous. It's cells were a mere 5x7ft and housed 3 men in each one with cells stacked four high in 10 separate blocks. These are just a few short video clips of the place. The Alamo Block housed the most dangerous criminals. Hi again JaimeLynn! This place IS amazing to visit and the stories are amazing as well. That max security area totally caged in was the icing on the cake. Thanks for checking out my blog! glad you found some interesting pics on there to see. take care.

We went there 2 1/2 weeks ago and had the place all to ourselves. We had plenty of activity happening all throughout the night. It was very, very cold in there!

I went through there yesterday, our guide mentioned "Fools Parade" also, I might look that movie up. I did 3 years in prison myself, not in Moundsville though. I sure as hell didn't feel safe in prison and I doubt if your friend did either. I was housed on death row for 6 months, but I don't think it was as bad as what "The Alamo" looked like at Moundsville.

That would be a little too scary for ME - to be there without a bunch of other people at least. But then again - I wouldn't want to spend the night either!! The place was cold during the day so I imagine it was much worse at night. The prisoners supposedly littery froze in winter and suffered the heat of summer. A nightmare of a place to be locked up in!

trying loving others and see the difference. there was so much wrong. these people love paranormal activities but in every instance some great wrong was done . it makes me sad and mad. try living in there shoes and see if you want to be tortured . what right did the y have . vengence is mine says the lord. its coming . this is a precursor to the real justice coming because they want it to.the warden is always guilty.the guards are corrupt. same as our law enforcement.

shady corruption/ a man with a badge and low self esteem what do you get abuse of people that may of or may not of done wroong to others. you don't torture others for there faults. wrong was done here/ no wonder there spirits are restless and can't let go. look up the tell all interview done with the cincinnati enquirer and the torture devices horrible atrocity to others. thats not what God wants . you are doing the same thing they did .what skeletons do you have?peace love is what its about
