- “My pops used to call me Ant Man when I was young,” recalls YG Addie aka A$AP Ant, who reps A$AP Mob from way down in Baltimore. Addie, whose dropped ‘The Prelude’ mixtape earlier this year, first distinguished himself via a crazy verse on the posse cut “Bath Salts” alongside Flatbush Zombies and A$AP Rocky. “Everybody said it was wack, to me it was before its time,” he said during a recent visit to MASS APPEAL HQ. “Maybe it wasn’t time for me to rap a verse back then.” Find out how his friendship with Yams helped him to get down with the A$AP Mob way back in the Stash House days, get his passport and travel the world via hip hop. honestly Ive heard the "ride like a bike" bar used countless times since Addie dropped it on that verse. I believe dude receives the most unnecessary hate in all of rap.. straight up he works hard and gets better with every release has shown nothing but progression over a number of years didn't try to shove himself in the spotlight he just slowly worked on his craft. He's not loud he doesn't bitch about being slept on he works hard standing on his own ten toes and is thankful for what he does have. I think he'l be around for a long time :)
