It always amazes me how casual dame can make a 40 point game look
It’s because the staff still haven’t figured out, much less know, how to utilize them both together at the same time. Giannis is for whatever reason running the point and shooting 3s while Dame is just being utilized as a glorified spot shooter and 6th man. They’re not being that well-coached in-game or well-trained in practice.

@@ozvega.57 interesting observation. they both always had to handle the rock, and make their own plays. they gotta figure out how to not put the ball on the floor as much, but that's just dropping their average number of dribbles per touch by a couple, and they're going to just slaughter the league.

I live in the burbs of Portland and watched Dame for the 11 years he was here and kept telling ya'll that the cold start he's had is a fluke. This dude can carry a team on his back and he showed it tonight, his assists tonight were so impressive. Thankfully he's with a team now where he doesn't have to go for 40 to have a chance at winning a game, but when circumstances dictate and they need him to step up he's still got it. He's only had what, 8 games with the Bucks? Wait until it's 20 games and he starts gelling with Giannis, dude will be gettting his ring! I'm not a Blazers fan so I'm putting a Dame Bucks jersey on my list for Christmas.

Ya Giannis said its dames team but he is still spotting up for 3s while dame watches and he demands the ball in clutch moments. he needs to get better off the ball, i think hes their weak spot at this point but thats a really good thing cuz when they do mesh it out itll be unstoppable. and theyre both contracted for the next few years so theyre either gonna mesh or tank their careers, i have a feeling itll be the former

He’s not supposed to be like Steph. Steph is a natural shooting guard who is extremely effective off the ball and well-versed with all the crucial skills of a point guard running the floor; Dame is more of a point guard that is best directing the offense and penetrating the paint looking for opportunities to score by himself or for other teammates while also having great range of a shooting guard beyond the arc. They’re similar but not the same. Adrian Griffin and the Bucks coaching staff have had to learn that the hard way to this season. Shooting is a great aspect of Dame’s game but it is still only one aspect; he possesses a much more deep, mature, and well-rounded bag that they are still trying to learn, recognize and fully utilize into the team’s offense. Hell, they haven’t even run the pick and roll that great yet, their most obvious set offense at their disposal.
