when my husband and i went for the adjustment of status interview back in 2019 the officer only asked how did we meet, when we got married, our birthdays, where we got married and thats it. the interview only took few minutes.

There’s some questions that are out of logic even real lovers for years can’t answer them I guess like the question the officer said’ what is the last time your spouse cut his or her hair’ that’s something has no sense for me I even can’t remember the date of mine when I’m cutting my hair

Honestly I think these questions, like the forms we filled out, are from the 60’s.

Honestly I’m married for more than 13 years and we have kids and live together even though I doubt I can pass this kind of question that’s too much

We agree some of the questions seem like too much, but it's always beneficial to be well prepared when it comes to an immigration interview to avoid complications.

Is it true that the period for reunification with a wife (green card holder) and husband (outside the USA) has increased by 4-5 years? On average, they reunite within 1.5-2 years

Lol I feel like I would chew out my husband for not knowing basic things like my birthday, he remembers our anniversary but never remembers my birthday. He remembers the birthday of our little girls. What questions are asked if he's alone at an embassy abroad?

good info but i hope they don't use words like "pet peeves" when they could use simpler words like "finds annoying" or "makes him angry". the biggest problem my wife has with all these questions is understanding the English.

Hello dear friend I am bessem from Tunisia
I applied for the DV lottery 2024 with my family
Be sure to correct me a misconception is that the DV lottery does not work Hazard but rather it is the computer program based on algorithms to filter candidates based on the following criteria:
A better score for people who have no security history (terrorism, court case, etc.)
A second best score for people who come as a family with children
A third score for people who have a better level of education (school level)
Therefore it is not about Hazard but rather sorting
Because quite simply if it is Hazard then surely there will be terrorists and delinquents who succeed and who will have the right to enter the American Embassy , something that I see as impossible with the Americans.
    Thank you for your opinion
    And god bless you
    thank you

A real couple would know how to respond all of these questions. The only one that I don’t think that it is appropriate is the question about medicine (that your spouse take) and dose. First: if my spouse takes a medication, I don’t need to know which one it is. Second: medical conditions are personal and protected by law. Basically a doctor can’t disclose a patient’s health information without the patient’s authorization. Also, your medical condition is personal. When you ask which medicine the spouse takes, that’s literally invading the right to keep your medical condition private. All the other questions are ok.
