It's a popular ploy to tee the ball a little lower to hit a stinger. But if we want to hit the ball high on the club face (which we need some tee height to have room for), I take it this is not the right thing to do?

I have a strong grip and i consistently hit low drives. Sometimes a little too low but im more accurate playing this way. I hit my irons real high and my woods real low.
Get a 80 yd tee shot roll. The miracle shot for distance against the wind. Thanks for sharing this recipe

fun fact started hitting low drives because it turns a slices into fades and my hooks into draws does anyone else find lower shots to be more forgiving
If my driver is too short, could this cause me to bend over too far increasing my spine angle too much?
Yes get measured for your shaft length. I start shooting par golf after i did this. Good luck
hitting with decending blow will spin it more so will start low and baloon....not really what we want.
Clay, I want to hit lower, penetrating drives for all conditions. Will tipping my driver shaft help?
Hi Eugene, that likely won't make much of a difference. You need to take loft off the face to hit it lower. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Bellfootball32 Leaning back will increase attack angle and lower spin to reduce spin from the ball position and narrower stance.
It does cause your angle of attack to be more shallow or up on the ball which make it go higher but you want to deloft it as well so that you hit it low with lower spin. If you hit down on it, it might start lower but it will add spin and balloon. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor
I’ve greatly improved my game this year. Controlling my side-to-side ball shape off the tee and making better contact with irons (with lag). One thing I can’t figure out is my drive height - it’s really high. I’ve knocked down my adjustable R11 to 8 degrees, but I still sending it high. My drive distance is about 240 in the air which I’m happy with but I feel like I can stretch it out another 25 yards with lower trajectory. Equipment or swing problem?
josh gearheart if you can get to a simulator, it will be much easier. Sounds like you need to know your launch angle and spin rate. I struggled for years with hitting drives too high and about your length. Had to go to a low launch and low spin driver.
I started out at 17 deg launch angle and 3500 spin. Got that down to 13 deg launch and 2500 spin for an extra 10-30 yards.
What is the chance of doing it wrong? Is seems quite complicated the way you explained it.
This is more of a specialty shot and I wouldn't focus on this unless I was really comfortable and skilled off of the tee. Best of luck! Nate | TSG Instructor

I’d rather hit this then the high bombs. There’s really only 3 holes at my club that you can hit driver with but it’s not the safest to hit it high. They’re tight tree lines on both sides on 2 of them
I can hit these exact shots out to 255 yards max drive
