This is a description and review of the first chapter of the great philosophical literature written by Dr. Allama Iqbal titled "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam". It propagates the concept of pursuing modern knowledge since it is in alignment with the message of the Holy Quran. In the 2nd part of the lecture, Iqbal talks about characteristics of a Religious experience which is again a very interesting concept to understand. Their are several themes running across this first lecture but the most profound is the concept of Thought and Intuition. The video will help you understand what it is all about.

The world thinks that our religion does not emphasize logical reasoning even we Muslims thinks like that but I am really fascinated by Iqbal's point of view , how beautifully he explained that Islam emphasize on experimenting, innovations and logical reasoning and how Allah orders us to look upon everything and think about the processes of this life. It's not easy to understand Iqbal's perspective sometimes but once you understand his perspective you feel so amazed.

Great sir ,Allama Iqbal tried to to bring change in mental and physically stability in Muslims ,it's our weakness we are not implementing on Quran.
My dad used to say “Himmat e mard, maded e khuda” the last statement by Iqbal is what he was referring to and he has never read Iqbal! Goosebumps.

Allama Iqbal has always been a debated personality just because of his sheer ability to put fear aside and put up revolutionary thoughts like these on the forefront. I am absolutely amazed at how he justifies the strength of the faith embodied by him solely by questioning religion itself. The extraction that I took from this is that it is only the true believers that question faith and religion in the first place because they know that an answer always exists. Islam is indeed the perfect religion.

Quran has said earlier that Allah created The whole universe in 7 Days and nights scientists before didn't believe it but now Science has found that Time in space travels at different speeds. They found this with the speed of light that travelled from someplace to our direction and the travelling speed of that light was different. We know that Speed is the distance covered over time, thus scientists concluded that the time we have in our part of the Universe is different from other parts and it is possible that our Million or billion of years could be equal to One day in the other part of the universe.
This phenomenon is also defined in Film "Interstellar" I suggest you to watch this, it's amazing.

I started reading this book.the first chapter blow my bind. Every word and sentence has such a deep meaning that i need to read it for many time to comprehend fully. One thing i must add here from the book is Allama Iqbal's claim that fikr has no boundaries it is infinite (la mutanahi in urdu). And it is seem to be finite because it is connected to zaman i tasalsal. And for me as a physicist It seem to be a quantum mechanical explanation where a system before measurement exist in every possible state (can be analogous to la mutanahi fikr) and when we measure it we get that system in one state(mutanahi fikr).
Beautiful interpretation of this wonderful piece of philosophical literature.
