- All modern ATVs use CV shafts in one form or another, this Yamaha 660 Grizzly has a total of ten! They are easily torn, and if left un checked will ruin the CV joint. They are not hard to replace, as you will see.
Thanks for watchin' Don't miss Parts 1 and 3

As far as I am concerned, you sir are a frickin surgeon.
Ray, you did an excellent job of how to, from start to finish
Thanks D. RAY,,,,,,,, very professional presentation, without all the UNNECESSARY ANNOYING MUSIC.... I can hear you clearly and see what you were doing.
That's what the doctor ordered! Thanks a lot for your sharing.

Mr. D-Ray....I found your instructional very informative and easy to follow along. Thanks for such a positive attitude and enthusiasm that makes you listen even if you don't have a project. Enjoyed sharing with my 17yo son without tensing waiting on the next group of curse words to being blurted out. Great work! 5 ☆minimum, more like 10!!
Where do your recommend buying Honda ATV parts?
If you're worried about your 17yo hearing curse words at that age you're setting him up for a lot of bigger problems later on in life.
Thank you. You make it look easy!

this video is very great ,thanks man.
THanks Man , Great video
Like the fact that you started working on a clean ATV with no mud or dirt on the axel as it makes it so much clear for us amateurs to observe and learn. One Q...what did you use to remove and clean old grease?
Good video man
Thanks great video. I wish I could understand what made 44 people dislike this video. How can you dislike something made to help people.
great vid thanks
thank you so much
Great and helpful video. I would not reuse either boot if I went through all that to take it all apart. I figure if one boot is gone the other must be close to going.
not if you ripped it on sticks
Same here! If I'm going that far it'll all be new when it goes back on!
thanks for putting out the video ... ! question got a catvo 6 inch lift eagle turner axles cv boots getting to hot destroying the boot is there better grease ? or can I simply put in more grease ? any ideas ? again thanks for the video
Thank you for the video good sir
Thank you
exelent .....very didactic thanks
thank you
Awesome Video D-ray. I have a torn boot and the cv started clicking. How easily are the CVs ruined? is it something you can clean, regrease and reboot and be ok or is the cv ruined pretty quickly if its not taken care of immediately? Great Video by the way. You do a great job explaining all the little things to look for when doing this job. Thanks
How do I get the cv axle out of the rear plunging joint on a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin? There's no retaining ring, and it doesn't seem to rock far enough to release the balls.
Please, can worn-out or bad inner cv joint cause ABS light on? I asked because immediately I changed the cv axle joint, I began to hear like cracking nose. Please, what could be the problem?
Ray, How is it your inter joint race and bearings stayed together, my ball bearings fell out all over the table when I removed them from the inter joint cup.. what did I do wrong ?
D Ray, i just pull the bottom shock bolt and the bottom knuckle nut then the axel comes right out. Alot faster
are there after market cv boots for Kubota RTV x 1120D If yes, where--thanks for excellent video
thanks
Honda Rancher, 2010 front axle. Can't remove or slip the beirngs race off. Pounded it with a 2x4 with no luck.
super bueno el video asi es que nesesitamos un profesor
Why worry about if you get grease on the inside of the boot. The grease will eventually work it's way off where you placed it and onto the boot?
Where did you get your boot kit from?
epic
Is this the same process for a Honda foreman?
D-ray is that a 4x4 fourwheeler your working on in these videos?
the best
Can someone tell me if it matters how the c-clips are facing
Great videos. What do you use to clean the grease from the old boot?
Brake parts cleaner and rags in a box works well
Could I use hose clamps?
It appears our bearings may be toast. They are falling out of the chase, or is this normal?
good video my name is mark for a person like me that has never done this how are is this to do mark
D-ray would feel safe with re using those fold over clips?? Any tips for rebuilding all four on a fourtrax 300?
As long as the little lock tabs are good, I have re-used them. Aside from the brakes, the procedure for your TRX300 will be almost identical.
The longer ye live the more ye learn.
you don't have to use a clamp tool?
Didn't look like you got clamps very tight. Know wonder they spin if grease gets on them
Thats right. I noticed it also, need to throw them into the garbage for one thing & get the notch clamps.
I would & have used 75lb zip-ties many times, much better than these pull through & fold overs. He at least should have pulled them tight with a vice-grip then fold.
You didn't even pack the bearings though
Don't u use tool to
^
thanks
