Rap Fernandez, the elder of the two boys of Lorna Tolentino and the late action film icon Rudy Fernandez turned 36 yesterday, December 18, and he had a simple, intimate birthday dinner with family and close friends.
The dinner was held at his mancave, a new-constructed three-story home, located at the backyard of the original Fernandez home, which is being renovated, in Quezon City.
Rap and his mom’s showbiz and now-showbiz friends, who all braved the holiday traffic, started arriving as early as 7pm. They all feasted on Cibo Restaurant’s delectable fare.
The intimate party, attended by Maritoni Fernandez, Amy Austria, Isabel Rivas, and Sylvia Sanchez, ended at 3:00 in the morning.
And speaking of Isabel Rivas...she also turned 61 years old at the stroke of 12:00 midnight on December 19. Thus, Rap’s birthday celebration also doubled as asalto celebration for the seasoned actress, who got her “Happy Birthday” song as well, with well-wishers using Rap’s cake (redecorated by Chef Maritess Gutierrez) and candle to blow.
