- In 2017, Jase Walker caught two of the most-sought-after fish in the South, Son of Triple Row and the Twin, both at 46lb-plus, from the ultra-difficult Dinton Pastures White Swan in Berkshire.
Both fish fell to Jase’s home-made, meshed S7 cork-ball pop-ups, the process behind which had until now been kept under wraps. In this exclusive video, Jase reveals exactly how he makes his hookbaits and what he does to them afterwards to make them impervious to the attentions of small fish and crayfish.

Fair play to him still going fishing when he hasn't got any legs good on ye
Quality 🤣🤣
How long do they last and do they not go off pal
Do they not go off because of the base mix
Is that Jimmy Somerville by any chance?
Doesnt the basemix need to be sieved for hookbaits?
Ric Witheld yes if you dont mesh them
@@retrocarperdan could you elaborate please? What does the mesh do to base mix that hasn't been seived?
If you mesh them is there a need to boil them as they will give off more attractors in paste form and the mesh will protect them from nuisance fish !
Without boiling it would absorb water super quickly and then just fall off after an hour or two, ideal in terms of attraction potential but leaves you with a corkball as bait while the roach make of with the remnants of your paste
