Idk y u ppl talk abt fifa rating which is complete bs but all I know is messi has his own flaws like penalties, tapins,giving up after opponent comes back in second leg(roma, Liverpool),making the team dependent on him(this is an important factor,PPL play better when there are no expectations on them) and headers.....the important ones here are the phycological factors bcoz the factors related to his game can be improved...he loses his grit in a game unless his team makes the first move(like against rma, barca win almost all the time if the first goal is scored by them)

I remember back in high school my dad said Ronaldinho was the best player in the world and started watching barca because of him but when I saw Messi for the first time against Madrid in the hatrick classico. Wow factor. Fast foward 15+ years I named my son after Lionel. It hurt when I saw Eto, Henry, Xavi, Mascherano, Iniesta, Puyol, Marquez etc. It will break my heart to see Messi retire but happy I got to see him in my life time. You know we hear about players, Pele, Maradona, R9, Romario, Platini etc, but I never got to follow their careers as well as I have with Messi.
