Hi! I just want to know how you pack your drone to Sumba also is there anything I need to bring my drone into Sumba like a permit or anything on that sort? Do you need to ask permission to fly the drone while you were in Sumba? Thanks!
You don’t need permission to fly a drone there, but areas around airports and military facilities (there are only a few of them in large cities) are usually off limits. Certain military posts have jamming signal to prevent drones.

So you literally went only to all of those most touristic places in Sumba... 😅 but that's good because if people follow your itinerary, the most beautiful and remote places will still be totally without tourists.
But anyway, I would recommend to visit traditional villages in West Sumba (much better than Ratenggaro which is so touristic compared to other villages and people there are not friendly at all) and also waterfalls in south part of East and Central Sumba which are sooo beautiful, empty and in the most of those places you even don't pay any entrance fee. The waterfall I would not recommend is Lapopu because the price is just too high and doesn't make any sense.
And whoever wants to visit this amazing island - please be sure you wear proper clothes. Sumba is not Bali and even if the muslim community is a minority, people in Sumba are not used to tourists and western culture. So please be aware that if you go there, you even could be one of the first "bule" they've met and you definitely become a part of their opinion progress about foreigners. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

the camera's tripod position may be too high, so your friends are like looking at the lens up. maybe if the position of the tripod fits the average of your eyes, the results will be better to see. Sorry in advance for commenting on the tripod position which is a bit high. Thank you
