Anarchy is brewing - be prepared!: General Roland de Vries

  • South Africa is a tinderbox waiting for a trigger to explode into violence and destruction. That is the warning from retired General Roland de Vries, the former Deputy Chief of the South African Army. In this interview with BizNews, he shares his in-depth assessment of the threat environment - and lists the possible trigger events for anarchy in election year. The general warns that the ruling African National Congress (ANC) government does not have the capability to protect its citizens adequately - and that it is up to the broader community to protect itself. He also gives his take on coalitions - and expresses concern that "we are going to see political infighting happening as never before and this will cause major political instability in our country". Meanwhile, General De Vries has, over the past seven years, helped over 80 communities develop their own community safety plans to empower themselves.

In addition, we have large numbers of foreigners working in the country which further affects an already high rate of employment. Given the dismal performance of our economy, this huge and expanding population continues to lead to unemployment and poverty. The worse it gets, the quicker it gets worse. I see no political party addressing this fundamental issue. Quite simply, there are too many people for the economy to support.

One element which is overlooked is the Islamic issues. A supremacist ideology in cahoots with the ANC is totally ignored. Why? We're more a blend of pinkish grey and various shades of brown and yellow. Even though there's a lot of regret over past wrongs of the British Empire, forgiveness from activists unlikely because they like the money and power. Remember, it’s like appreciating both your hands equally-you can't dislike one and love the other. About 20 percent of Australians are of convict stock with many rebels from Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. Brought here in chains after rebellions, many in the same ships that took slaves from Africa to the United States. I suppose our history is the reason why most of us did not want to be divided by race and voted against the very costly Voice referendum. All the best Africa.

Anarchy isn't a bad thing in itself.
It really just means there is no central control and communities and household protect, educate, provide and flourish by their own means without government interference.
We have this to a large extent already. I don't rely on government for security, education, healthcare, road infrastructure, water or even refuse removal.
The real problem is that true anarchy eventually leads to a tax revolt and true anarchy disadvantages the poor disproportionately.
Already, private security is more numerous than SAPS, better trained, better equipped and more motivated. Same with education, healthcare etc.
SA is an anarchist society already for many across the racial spectrum

@@Peace-tk3gr Anarchy means there is no rulers. This means that self-governance is encouraged. That does not mean that there are no rules or ways to keep the peace. Your ancestors lived in anarchy and they survived well enough so you can make this comment.

@@Peace-tk3gr then you don't understand anarchy.
Xavier Milei is a self confessed anarcho-capitalist and Argentina is thriving.
Anarchy isn't bedlam. It is a form of government where power is devolved to the lowest common authority, ie, individual, then family, then community and only ultimately a central government
