- Urja Packaging which is now Adeera Pack (7977169649, adeerapackaging@gmail.com) is a manufacturer of paper pouches including this one which is made from paper that has an environment friendly (no plastic) water proof coating. This paper bag or paper lifafa can be used for packing steamed Momos, vegetables, fresh fruits, milk pouches, any cold item that may accumulate condensation, Meat, Fish etc.
This paper bag can also be coated from the outside to not let any moisture enter the bag which is useful for packing loose Tea leaves, sanitary napkins, medicinal gauze, agarbatti etc.

Is there plastic coating on the inside surface? If yes, then isn't it as bad as a plastic carry bag.
It's not plastic, it's organic and biodegradable.

1. Cost is approx double that of a normal paper pouch but still less than compostable plastic bags (the only permissible plastic bag)
2. The bags are made using automatic machines so the entire process is automated, hence there is no question of bad hygiene (pouch is not hand made)
3. Govt had certain prescribed tests which this product passes
4. We have tested it for around 6 hours

Also, the paper used is FSC approved which means the paper is either recycled or uses pulp from responsible sources (like tree plantations)
