How to make Bath Bombs with recipe!

    • DIY How To Make Gift P...
    Making bubbling bath bombs. Makes 12 x 200gram bath bombs.
    9 x cups bicarbonate of soda
    4 cups granular citric acid)
    1/2 x cup SLS or SLSA
    10 mls or 1oz polysorbate 80
    50 mls fragrance
    50 mls any carrier oil, we use olive oil (you can use, coconut, macadama, sweet almond oil, even cooking oils such as sunflower, the list is endless)
    water to spray
    coloured mica to your desired strength

    EdenSecret. Wanna know a secret? Do everything like how you normally would EXCEPT adding your citric acid. Wait until after you have added all your liquid portions and when your mixture is all done THEN add your citric acid and finish mixing. This way you never have to worry about the citric acid fizzing while you add in your liquids.

    Hooray you are back, I thought I had a bloop on my subscribe button or I had somehow deleted you... But whew I hadn't. Now I just have to say that I bought 2 candles and 3 soaps from you 3 years ago and I love them so much I still haven't used them. They are displayed on my bathroom bench. I've been a fan fir over 3 years and still love watching and listening to you. Yes please I want the rose silicone mould, preferably to purchase not make 😇. It's the best one I have seen ever!       Probably use more water, because that is exactly hat I did wrong for YEARS, you actually need quite a bit to bind them together

    you may want to try tapping the molds with a spoon to release your bombs, that way you have fewer dents in your molds and you lessen the risk of breaking and/or denting your bombs. Thanks for sharing such an awesome video and recipe! :)

    If you tap the top and bottom with a spoon rather than the sides they release easier. Plus it won't damage the mold

      Do you know Angela, I couldn't make bath bombs for years and the reason was I wasn't using enough water to bind them together. When I looked at a recipe, people seemed to only use a tiny amount of water or binding liquid and that is where I went wrong all those years.

    Instead of water you can use witch hazel to spritz to thicken it before you start molding there will be almost no reaction and it's good for the skin as well

    Hi I was wondering if you could tell me how much polysorbate to use for 3 cups of bicarb. And also which is better polysorbate 80 or 20. Newbie to making bath bombs.Kind regards.

      For 3 cups I usually use 1 tablespoon of Poly 80. This has worked for my 2:1 recipe and also my 3:1 1/2 SB/CA recipe.

    Can you believe that the first attempt I made at bath bombs a couple months ago they stayed together? I was in complete shock and kept checking on them thinking it was a fluke. I made another batch recently and they were nice too. My husband says perhaps it's because I've watched hours of CZcams videos and have done so much research haha! I agree about the moisture factor. I got the mix wet enough, like the consistency of wet sand. Great work Karen and hope to see you soon!
