The visit to Nashville and to your studio was amazing! Thanks for everything Brett! Andy's demo of the Halo at 13:57 is one of my favorite spots in the video.
Andy quickly became my favorite player. Ive gotten into instrumental stuff over the past couple years since picking the guitar back up and I basically bounce back and forth between Uncle Larry Bukovacs two albums and Andys amazing catalog of instrumental guitar. I wear those albums out. Bought my Halo as quickly as I could and I Love it. Some wicked sounds inside this box just waiting to come out.
I love watching u two talk guitars and pop culture ! …. I’m 56 and the Palmolive reference was priceless !!! … Keep vids coming , you motivate me to plug in more , but I’m always grabbing my acoustic for a few minutes a day lol
Loved the conversation, the name dropping, the humor, and certainly the tones! Got my halo a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. The only thing missing was a desire to hear Andy play your Divided by 13 for just 10 seconds!! I will get that amp someday because of you Brett!!! 🤟🏼
Circling back to this post to checkout the Halo again…think it has to be the next pedal. Jeff Beck conversation makes me cry😢. He was so good, and left an indelible legacy. Totally agree with seeing him live. He left too suddenly
Every time I watch a Papa vid I spend money , lol. Always look forward to watching . Matter of fact there’s plenty of older vids I still watch . Thanks for all you post .
If I hadn't recently purchased a Halo, I definitely would have after watching this. Great video - I really enjoyed the conversation and demo. Be good to you 🤍💛
I’ve had the Halo for about a month and I’m still exploring what it can do. The presets alone are worth the price. My bandmate heard it and had to have one as well.
I want to thank Andy and Robert for this amazing pedal. It's my favorite delay of all time. Further, another huge thank you for recreating it in the Fractalverse. Now I have the Halo on my real pedalboard and the Aurora is a foundation in my FM9 presets.
@@kevinp_25 dude KevinP! Thanks for hitting me back! Respect! I think that Taurus made a new version of the acid reflux, called the Acid Reflux Deluxe, might be dual and stereo.. but haven't totally looked into it. But stating that the Halo is better than a Strymon is "High Cotton." Almost feels like the Halo is worth it just for the Andy Timmons preset, thanks again for your opinion, what a great time to be alive and searching for pedals
Heya Brett - - Super awesome vid you created here. Contrary to a few other comments, I actually really enjoyed the dialog, as I thought the discussion added just what the vid needed to make it complete! ...Name dropping and examples of influences were all good dude. So beginning at around the 17:54 mark, the two of you began to mention guitarists and albums (almost in passing) as examples of what some of them had done which you and Andy really loved, including some covers. But I couldn't really hear the 4 or 5 references for albums. I need to check them out, Brett. Would you list those players/albums so I could give a listen? Thanks again for the great content, dude. And man, what a pedal, right?
I don’t know anybody else trying this but I just bought one…gets here Sunday. Oh…and it’s for trumpet (solo…accompany). I think this is exactly what I’ve been looking for to replace my old but tired Digitech PDS1002. Can’t wait to try the dual effect! Playing dry, even for trumpets, has its place but things can be SO much more exciting and innovative! I think the “getting out of the way” will really help retain the clarity of my original notes.
For me Timmons could be on guitar Rushmore😄I just ordered a Halo and can't wait for it to arrive. I pondered different delays for a while when I heard you play this with Robert Keely that was it! Hope I'm pleasantly surprised and that it wasn't just your playing. Like when I hear Shawn Tubbs demos something I'll buy it and like what the heck my playing don't 25:54 doesn't sound like 😢thank
I remember seeing Andy playing live with 2 Memory Man delay on his pedalboard. He haven't got expression pedal for adjust the delay level. And I remember seeing him turning level knob with his foot on the fly when he needs more or less delay level.
Andy's tone is so tastfule. His playing is okay also... I'm not an Ibanez fan, but his model has always intrigued me. Hope to play one someday. Great interview! Hope to see George Lynch in house some day!
That would be amazing! I can see if they are up for it next time Andy is in town. I am sure Guthrie and Tom will be joining us again at some point. I am sitting on a ton of footage of them in the studio right now. AMAZING!!
Hello everyone. I have a question maybe someone here could help me with. While setting up my pedalboard today I ran into an issue. It is pretty straightforward setup. A tuner>Keeley compressor Plus>Keeley AT Super Mod OD>UA Dream 65 Amp Pedal>Keeley Halo>Strymon Cloudburst. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the Cloudburst will not operate at all in this order. So I tested the Cloudburst separately to make sure it was working and it is. I then reversed the order with Cloudburst>Halo and it works. Why in the world would it work one way and when I switch it back it completely breaks the chain… no sound and just a popping noise when I turn the Cloudburst on and off. So once again I thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any idea what is going on I would sure love to hear about it. God bless and thank you.
Andy one issue that I have always had delay/verb issues with is room acoustics. We expect delays to be impacted by a band mix. But there are times I've dialed in a nice warm ambient delay in my room and when I get that same tone into a different room acoustics, it's all different. Any thoughts?
You need to constantly talk more; I could almost hear two minutes of guitar in that 38 minute talk show. Music gear demos should always be nothing but talking
The visit to Nashville and to your studio was amazing! Thanks for everything Brett! Andy's demo of the Halo at 13:57 is one of my favorite spots in the video.
Thanks for stopping by! Ya'll are awesome!
I’ve yet to see an in depth deep dive demo of programming and functionality
Which preset is that?

That is awesome. Both players are world class as is the Delay pedal!

That is awesome to hear Paul! More Andy coming soon!

Haha! I'll get him to play one soon! You have to have at least one 13 in your life. One of the best amps ever made!
@Brett Papa which D13 is it btw?
I would pay money to see Andy play a complete version of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. That little snippet he plays in this video is amazing.
Circling back to this post to checkout the Halo again…think it has to be the next pedal. Jeff Beck conversation makes me cry😢. He was so good, and left an indelible legacy. Totally agree with seeing him live. He left too suddenly
It's a fantastic pedal!!
Big fan of Andy and the TPS guys. Will definitely be picking up a Halo in the near future.
Awesome! You will love it!
you two freaking killed!
the way he speaks about ej makes he sounds like such a great guy!
rock-on
Thanks Christopher!

My Halo arrived a few days back. Sounds wicked, will be going on my board for definite 👍
The Halo is my favorite pedal purchase from 2022!!
I can see why!
If I hadn't recently purchased a Halo, I definitely would have after watching this.
Great video - I really enjoyed the conversation and demo.
Be good to you 🤍💛
Awesome to hear! Glad you liked the vid!
These 2 guys are great together. Really enjoyed this one. Andy Timmons is a Beast of a player-too. oNe LovE from NYC
Thanks for checking us out Michael!
@@BrettPapa Happy New Year fellas.
Thank you for the great interview and demo! I need a Halo! 😇 I ordered one today.
Sure thing! Thanks for watching!
Always bringing the good stuff to us!! Thanks Brett!!
Thanks! Glad you like the vids!
Ahh yes! A BR549 reference! I bet a lot of people don't know what that's from!
Madge! 😂😂😂😂

They do amazing work over there at Keeley!
I am torn between the Taurus Acid Reflux or the Halo or a Strymon...??!!
@@seanmurphy26 I'll take the Halo over any Strymon delay personally. I have no experience with the Taurus.
@@seanmurphy26 I just checked the Taurus out. Seems nice but I love dual delays and stereo lol

It's a great delay no matter how good you are lol
Madge Palmolive ...Ha . 50 years of Ep3's and never had one break down . Today use the MXR Echoplex with Tap . Ronnie Scotts Beck 💥
That yellow brick road arrangement is amazing
Yep
That was fun! And great pedal!
You are so sweet Jeff! Now tell your buddy to listen to some Van Halen!
Andy Timmons is the André Rieux of the guitar world. That would make an interesting collab.
Awesome melodic player! You too Bret!!
Thank ya!
Great chat and sounds! 🤘
Thanks Jose!

Yep totally! Not anymore haha. Got that stuff all figured out with this pedal.
Great delay, interview, and playing!
Thanks Steve!
You never fail to do it again, Every pedal you demo i'm forced to purchase. Lovin my new MVP Nordvang 83.
Lol! My job is done here haha!
Fantastic sounding pedal... being Andy Timmons does hurt either. :)
Haha! Exactly!
Great demo. Thanks for sharing!
Sure thing Terry!

Thanks for watching Ron! That Ibanez is amazing! Sounds great! I would love to have George in he is one of my all time favorites!
“His playing is ok” 😂
Yeah! Andy Timmons! And yes, the halo is amazing! I love it! Thanks Brett.
Sure thing Dennis!
This was great! It might be time to upgrade my trusty carbon copy.
29:10 Listened to Moon Dawg. Definitely sounds as Andy described. Hilarious.
Just 😁 when I saw Andy playing 💜🤘🎸🤣
great conversation guys, love that pedal. Cheers
Thanks for tuning in!
Man I hate to ask but could we get a Andy Timmons and Tom Bukovac episode? Or another with Guthrie and Uncle Larry.
That would be amazing! I can see if they are up for it next time Andy is in town. I am sure Guthrie and Tom will be joining us again at some point. I am sitting on a ton of footage of them in the studio right now. AMAZING!!
I'm very happy with my delay pedals I have the Electro Harmonix memory boy and Dunlop/MXR Echoplex need nothing else..
Both of those are great. The Keeley pedal has many more features for those who want an awesome delay packed with features in a small package.
Great video as usual
Thank ya!

The Pedal Of The Year!
For sure!
16:35 time stamp purely for my own educational needs. Thanks for your patience Brett.

Dammit.... ive got to get me one of those!.
Yes you do lol! Use the link below haha!

Andy is always good value. What model is that Mesa Combo in the background?
For sure! It is a Mesa Lonestar. That is Andy's main amp.
Anybody know what the name of that attachment Andy has on the right bottom wing of this guitar to boost up the guitar angle?
He talks about it somewhere in one of the two videos we did together.
Andy and Papa- first! Thumbs up before watching lol
Lol! Thanks for checking us out Mark!
Da fuq!? 24:00
Holy shit!
That slap bit was brill, Bugs Bunny......closest thing I have heard to Polyphia's Henson.
Yeah that was super cool! I enjoyed that a lot!
Can somebody tell me what is the thing on his leg holding the guitar? what brand?
czcams.com/video/vn3kRLIOgoE/video.html
He talks about it in the lesson we did together.
Which expression pedal?
I think it was a Dunlop.
Very nice :)
Thanks for checking it out!
Can it work with a synths output?
I'm sure it could. Just give them a call Keeley is very helpful!
What does Andy have attached to the bottom of the guitar, resting on his leg?
He talks about it in the lesson we did together. Check it out on the main page of my channel.
I’m down for the guitar Rushmore 😂
Haha
What other pedals do they make?
A ton!!
where to get that leg rest attachment?
I think he mentions where to get them in the lesson I did with him. Just check my main channel page for it.
Just give it up Brett.
I have the Andy apple red one. It’s mo better
Why is the video so DARK? Turn on the lights.
Is it dark?
what the buck are this..!!?? good night stories !!??tabernaq

Well Don lucky for you there is about 100 demos of the pedal already out there lol!
Need Halo now. Very good.
Yes they are!
