Why do you wipe them with acetone before painting? What does that do? Also do I need a clear top coat over my paint?Curious because I doodled all over my sketchers last week.
Wiping them down with acetone is crucial!!! It removes any sealant the factory may have on the shoe. Yes, I suggest a finisher so your paint doesn’t chip or crack
@@HiddenAnzietySiMac thank you for answering my question.. your a real artist and I am having fun..my auntie is going to be 88 this month and I am working on a pair of shoes for her... All flowers
Thanks for that! I ordered some that looked like what you used, but the screws look soooo small. I got the 8mm ones, but I'm afraid to put holes in these shoes if the screws are too short. I'm really worried about the toe section because it seems a bit thicker that the other parts. What size did you use?@@HiddenAnzietySiMac
Nice job but can you talk more about which paint works best and why
They came out a lot better than i thought they would. Nice job
Always gotta trust the process! Thank you!
I like..subscribed
Like your artwork. 🎨 but can you elaborate on talking thru the process with the paint brush vs the airbrush/ hot gun.
Thank you! Will do!!!
@dejesuscustomfootwear has a great tutorial on how to do a smooth gradient using a "middle bar" technique. I hope it helps for your future customs! :)

Not bad but make sure you use a middle bar to blend colors in between the green layers

Awesome! What exactly do you need help with?
How did you put the letters on the shoe
I created a stencil using my Cricut and used my airbrushed!
Where do you purchase the shoes to do this ? Like a whole sale or ?
No I Usually get them straight from Nike, but I would definitely recommend getting a vendor for them it would save a bit
What size are the green laces?
Unsure what size, but I got them from hobby lobby!
