      Former coworker of mine had his wife and two sons in their car one day. Stopped at a stop sign, waited for what he thought was all the traffic to clear, then pulled out onto the road---right in front of a semi doing the 55 mph speed limit, which t-boned the driver's side of the car. Coworker was killed, but his family survived without injury.

Also, when a situation like this happens, there are no 100% “safe” options, and you can only maneuver something that heavy a little bit without flipping or jackknife.

      There really isnt anything wrong, did see something like that here in germany, it often happens when they are transporting extremly heavy load like wind turbines. Often they have at least one lane open but it depends.

    5:56 I know for a fact is at the Cleveland Hopkins airport. I work there, and I always tell people "Don't just hang around arrivals. People drive like total idiots down there.....I don't know why, but people lose all brain power on that small strip of road."

      Not sure where that is at but at least US DOT engineering has safety in mind as poles all have shear bolts into the footer to prevent people being killed by striking a simple pole.

      I know a lot of people hate when these clips have comments but so help me some of these REALLY need more information... I stopped short with that one because I was just in shock. I gotta google that sucker... And it was in Illinois last Fall, a teenager who was dragged for half a mile, no serious injuries, amazingly. Was changing lanes and ended up under the truck. Still... wow. I can't find any explanation of how it could have happened or what the driver had to say for themselves.

      I got stuck behind one once becase the cops were looking for drugs a guy threw out the window. Was at 1 am for nearly 5 miles going approx 2-3 mph. I dont tink they found it either. Was on a 550 mile drive back and I was 75 miles from home. I was livid.

      We use them in my area when an aerial utility is going up across the highway. The workers and equipment is staged, the pacing of traffic begins about five miles from the location, and the utility company has less than 10 minutes to get their line up.

      Yeah. I don't see a problem with the clip. Sometimes highways need to be brought to a stop, or slowed down for various reasons. Cops will do the same ahead of a multiple lane accident, by flashing their lights and swerving across all lanes.
