This was not a sad review. This was a positive review with a hopeful ending. You chose to see the sadness but others see hope. Its all very relative to one’s own projections onto others. Once we let go of the ego, we get to see outside ourselves and realize that the world does not revolve around ourselves and we realize that that is ok and perfectly fine that way. 💖✨✨✨💫

I adore Comete. I tried to layer it as you suggested but the No 5 just does not work on my skin. Comete however, will be A permanent staple in my fragrance wardrobe.

I love your passion and dedication to the work you do! I have watched many fragrance reviews in the past, but yours is the best ! Comete is such a masterpiece, it’s hard to find words to describe it in my opinion, since Chanel is always using a top notch quality ingredients and has its own unique blend! I hope Olivier Polge keeps delivering this kind of fragrances in the future! Btw I tried Mugler Alien Hypersense edp, what a beauty! I usually not a big fan of Alien , but this one is so beautiful and not as obnoxious as the original! If you have time to pass by a beauty store try it on, plz give me your thoughts about it?! I haven’t a full experience of Comete yet, just smelled a mouillette delivered to me by a friend. What I felt was a very gorgeous creamy, powdery accord, maybe not as impressive as the other Les exclusifs creation but I can’t say until I tested the perfume in toto.

What a wonderful review, Dacob. Thank you for the trilogy of reviews and stories. The backgrounds you've selected for each of Comete's review were so majestic. The connection with No.5 was mind blowing. Thank you. This might become my signature scent with time - absolutely in love with it and it'll forever be associated with my trip to Japan b/c of 1) cherry blossom accord 2) wearing it the entire time in JP 3) Comete as a souvenir and 4) your reviews. It's totally deserving of the time you've invested in it, worthy of the Les Exclusif label, and I'm so happy that Olivier delivered again.

I agree with you, comete is definitely masterful. It is not only worthy of the les exclusifs but is also in my opinion one of the best ones (minus the OG four from Beaux, of course). It rrally takes time yo unfold and takes its time to be understood but once it clicks… this perfume wins! I am almost through half the bottle 😅💫💫💫 its an expensive pleasure but I cannot help myself. I love it too much 🥰🥰🥰 Wishing you wonderful times too with comete 🥰🥰🥰
The heliotrope is very very strong on my skin….but a few hours later….oh……the dry down is softer and marvelous ❤❤❤

I love your reviews! You truly appreciate the history and your description of the ingredients is so in depth. This story was amazing! I love this description and me being a No 5 girl, I never realized that each Chanel fragrance has a base of No 5. I have to try the layering with the Extrait. I knew a lady that worked for Chanel cosmetics, who used to layer 5 with Coco Mademoiselle. You teach me so much! I have been a fragrance manager and have been a fragrance lover for so long, but I still learn so much from you!

I was so mesmerized by this poem of a review and all the emotions it created in me that I went to the Chanel beauty corner of La Samaritaine to try Comète while my little princess was at her grooming session nearby today. I had a very interesting discussion with the sales associate and told him about how you said we need time to understand it. And he gave me a sample of Comète just like that, I am so happy! ❤

Great review Dacob! Im always captivated with the story within the perfume. I love the base notes of Comete but the opening notes is hard to like it's too harsh for my liking...but as it dried down it's lovely. It's like a ray of sunshine that passed through the clouds after a tumultous storm.
What can I say… it only hurts in the beginning…

I went to a Chanel boutique last week to purchase a bottle of 1957. I encountered Comete for the first time and I paused on my plan to purchase 1957. Comete is so so gorgeous.
And Comete has in part that same musk like 1957… so its a win win 🥇

Clytia became a heliotrope! How romantic and poetic the Greek mythology is? Clytia is ready to revealed through the heliotrope in the perfume as a new creature who decides now to flourish under the light of the comet.
Her name means the one who is renowned and comes from the verb kλύω means to hear , to understand! Her name means to understand my self in a more poetic translation !
Comet is the element to begin the journey towards the self!

Comfort can be dangerous to dwell in
I do not enjoy the opening of this fragrance as it is not a cherry blossom to my nose but rather cherry fruit with its bitter stone. However, the dry down is to die for.
I get the aldehydes with bitter almond accord in the opening.

They are both so very different from one another. I love both for different reasons. Could not pick one over the other but for now I am wearing Comete much more than Coromandel, but that might change at any time again.

I think so but not every duty free carries the les exclusifs.
