A lot of fun vehicles like rollerblades or skateboards have no breaks and you have to do similar things. Skating super fast essentially you have the same options if you aren’t good at power sliding
That's kinda what i do to stop on the ripstick, i just turn kinda sharp in circles to slow down then jump off, doesn't really work on a steep hill though 😂
@@jmkride I meant the stopping. The fact that you just have to jump off is kind of lame and now you have to go find them or have the risk of someone stepping on them or running it over
@@dantegallardo1974 this is just to bail as they said, you can stop without having to jump off if you pay attention to the roead and act in advance, those things can be practical and they are so fun
As a kid, my babysitter also worked at a skating rink so I spent a lot of time skating growing up. I also had to learn roller blading in gym class. To this day, with quad skates or roller blades, I can't break. These skates sound perfect for me lol
I gotta remember the foot slide. It woulda been useful last week when I bailed into the grass and slid! I shouldn't have been going down that hill at my skill level, oops
You can also slow down by drifting the back skate only. It takes time and effort to learn rhee correct weight distribution but is really cool on down slopes.
3 months in and got my first injury just because of a pebble. I'm slowing down and tried to turn, hit a pebble then my skates go woosh in the other direction. Any tips or guide on how to skate safely or how to fall properly on freeskates? (ofc safety gears is #1 but aside from that) Thanks a lot!
Sorry that happened! Safety is definitely something we should cover more often. There’s a lot to cover, but here are some things to keep in mind… Being aware of the terrain is huge, especially when the area is unfamiliar. If the ground is rough and there are various rocks/pebbles, you’ll want to #1 keep your knees bent for suspension, #2 pay attention to the ground in front of you and route your path accordingly, and #3 keep your weight shifted slightly to your back skate, so you’re not caught off guard by the unexpected. Personally, I always try to pay attention to this stuff, at least in my peripheral vision. It’s when I get careless and stop paying attention, where accidents happen. A big part of falling correctly is unfortunately learning by doing. Your body will built instinct when it comes to the do’s/don’ts of it all. But generally, bending your knees and getting low to the ground is important to soften the fall. Also, *do not* lock your arms and use your wrists to break your fall… for the same reasons as with roller skating and inline skating, this is a great way to cause injury. Instead, get low like I said and try to roll onto your side. As you suggested, protective gear is never a bad idea, on any ride with wheels. Risk is part of the game with all of this. But there are ways to mitigate that risk, and the fact that freeskates aren’t attached means you can bail to safety before things get dicey. All that to say, knowing your limits and going slow with your progression will go a long way. Don’t go faster than you can run, don’t try to shoot a massive gap in the pavement if you’re a little unsure, etc. For you and your situation, I’d say watching the pavement for rocks and bending your knees would work wonders. Sorry for the essay, hope it’s useful in some way ☺️
Jmk This is directed to you. I’m hopeful this goes well but We will see. I am going to ask a skateing rink (roller skating) if I can use my skates and I’m hopping for the best. It’s a after school field trip so let’s pray
Yes! Although, that method of slowing down isn’t too efficient in my experience. The t-slide may be what you’re after - We cover that in the linked vid about slowing down 🤙
We have a cheaper set listed on our website that’ll do the job for learning! For the smoothest experience and for longevity, I’d recommend the JMKs if you really get into it 🤙
The neighborhood is beautiful! What is a blue state? A red state that actually cares about what the yard looks like? Politically neutral City? Well whatever it is, it's bussin'
If you're new to freeskating, tap the "Shop" button to see our available colors! 🎉
Instructions unclear, went to the hospital with a broken ankle
😂😂😂
Skill issue
Oof😂😂😂
Sue him😂😂
Task failed successfully
Instructions unclear, i touched grass and am in a hospital because of gamer syndrome
Skill issue 😂
That just seems unnecessarily dangerous. Not being able to break without jumping is just poorly thought out. 🤦♂️
all new transportation methods aren't supposed to be safe they are supposed to grab ur attention
This video is only about bailing! If you'd like to learn about slowing down, see the related video we've linked :)

@@yty445 ?😂😂 you’re dumb
Im guessing you’re the type of guy to try something once and say it’s too dangerous for you then never do it again.
If you’d like to learn about slowing down, check out the related video! 😁
Instructions unclear,I have become a blue hedgehog that can run at the speed of sound.
This is amazing, but other than looking cool It seems that it’s still somewhat not fully fleshed out. Looking forward to the future tho!
Would love to hear more thoughts!

Nice use of the Sonic X opening music
Where's your helmet
That's kinda what i do to stop on the ripstick, i just turn kinda sharp in circles to slow down then jump off, doesn't really work on a steep hill though 😂
That seems highly unpractical
To each their own! I personally use them for about everything, from cruising to commuting to work. Different strokes, different folks :)

The tutorial on how to stop is also linked! This video is just about how to bail. I agree, it would be pointless if there weren't ways to stop 😆

😂acc
The sonic x music lol its my fav sonic music
I sometimes use rollerblades and I just slow down by going in a zig zag motion, but if I need to stop quickly I go in grass
Your videos are so good and helpfu❤😊
Always happy to help!

If you are skating faster than you can run and need to bail, then bail into the grass as you will be able to run faster
Power slide🗿
Naaah bro that last one is outta pocket 😂
Na will just go to hospital with a broken ankle and full scratched face😂😂
Bro says "5 ways to bail" then gives us jumping off 5 times as "different" ways
Honestly I’d just tuck, drop and roll for the last one XD
Thank you for telling me because like my grandpa now knows how to use the skate
The most amazing thing in the video is the cameraman
The foot drag hurt me emotionally
he looks so silly speeding up 😭
I picked up free line skating about 7 years ago and when I first showed my friends they said it looked like I was running sideways
My grandma: tHeReS aLlWaYs soMe gRaSs
my ahh jumping off, straight vertical
every short I hear a sega sfx
You could grab the "skate" do the number 3 stop and put the skate back
I don’t care how fast I’m going, I can never possibly go fast enough that I can’t just step off and keep running
I’d say it’s in the 15-20mph range where running gets a bit dicey!
I got skates recently and can almost pump.
Yo that’s awesome! How has the learning process been so far for you?
I have been learning pretty fast, but still trying to start without holding something and pumping without a hill.
I really want to learn how to flow and cruise like you guys do!!
Instructions unclear, have flipped and now doing handstand, still skating
the first question is why whould you buy these
Wont with enough momentum you'll either lunch sideways really fast or get lunched off the scakes.
What an awesome idea 😅😊
I gotta remember the foot slide. It woulda been useful last week when I bailed into the grass and slid! I shouldn't have been going down that hill at my skill level, oops
Yeah, definitely important to know your limits! As well, wearing protective gear is never a bad idea 👍
I can’t be the only one thinking he looks like Brandon Vazquez
Easiest metode? Just fly!
" *Fcking flying away* "
holy fu-
Does anyone when watching this is reminded of Ryan tyahan
Create friction between both skates your knees and the ground
I’m gonna fold, Ima get them.
Skates with no brakes our taxi drivers don't have any either
Easiest way ,tilt one of your feet to the side
Huh, i never seen that map and those skates, what season are you in?
The camera man🏃🏃🏃🏃
I think I’ll just stick to skating lmao
I ate an entire Costco pizza once.
Shouts to the cameraman
Aye appreciate it!
Just the wave board with out the board…..
Bro never heard of hitting a car
Check out the linked video for that :)
Instructions unclear ive been running for sox days
Use 1 Skate Side ways And the Anther Strate

You talking about carving or t slides? Both are great methods 😁
@jmkride But is much more easier and fun on classic wheels.
To jump into grass we gotta touch it NOW THAT’S THE PROBLEM
I feel like you could stop the same way you would on roller blades though, like a t stop wouldn’t be that hard on those
DuMb WaYs To DiE
Simple,slide in a circular path
If theres no grass....find grass
Ima do reverse michael Jackson
I thought these were sideways rollerblades
Easy solution by the one with brakes
Another question how to even ride that💀
I am a sonic fan and thake for sonic megin
Got to go fast.
Try a hockey stop
but what if u can't carve🤓🤓
You still lose the skates everytime
Do the slickback
Use rocks like tie it
If there’s no guys that you might fall

What about a power slide
is it possible to slow down making contact with the tip/end of the shoe without falling or jumping off?
Yes! Although, that method of slowing down isn’t too efficient in my experience. The t-slide may be what you’re after - We cover that in the linked vid about slowing down 🤙
Where i can find these?
Instruction Unclear. I got an ED the next day after bumping into a pole
I think I'm so lightning
can u share what camera u use?
Yeah, just my iPhone for this!
The reason you slowed down was because friction
