    The last pattern you shared, the wishbone, I used on an edge-to-edge t-shirt quilt. It really turned out fabulous!

    Most of my quilts have pebbles somewhere in them, and ribbon candy and feathers

    I think of that second pattern as ribbon candy.

    DO you do a "tie off" stitching at the end of the motif ,like you do at the beginning or is it enough to just stop and cut threads?

    I didn't know you had to baste a quilt when it's on a long arm. Do you always baste it.

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  Před 10 měsíci +4

      You always want to baste the top, sides (only within the throat space that you are working on) and the bottom. As for basting throughout the quilt, that is optional if you plan to move back and forth throughout the quilt. If you are quilting all the way through from the top to the bottom, you do not need to baste.

      Is there a video about basting the whole quilt first? Do you load it normally, baste top to bottom. Take it off and reload it?

    I really wish you would use a contrasting thread so I/we could see the quilt pattern clearly

  • @janfelshaw8217
    @janfelshaw8217 Před 10 měsíci +2

    You go backwards quite a bit. If I go back very far my thread will break because as it comes off the spool it unwinds the thread. 😢. How do you overcome that? I have an Amara.

      You might want to have your timing adjusted a little on your next visit to the tech. Stitching right to left will cause the shredding if the timing isn't absolutely spot on.

    You called them “funky” shapes…I think of it as your authentic quilting, which I prefer over computerized quilting. But that’s just me!
