What's sad is its most of the parents that had a dream and didnt fulfill it so then they live through their kids which makes it so stressful for the kids to not be "failures" to their parents
Look at Snoop Dogg's kid, he wanted to be a Foot ball player only cuz of how happy it made his dad and in the end the just quit before he was about to break out.
I remember playing in highschool and this kid told his own mom to stfu she was screaming and being to much he was obviously embarrassed he kept telling her sit down
Basically these Millennial parents are failing. Kids are getting more out of control but again, so are their parents. Basketball should take a page out of USA Hockey, if you argue/talk trash to the refs, you get kicked out AND fined $250. And if you don't pay up, your team doesn't get to participate in future games/tourneys until fine is resolved.
What does being a millenial have anything to do with it lol. Also, I'm not sure using a sport that encourages fist fights for comparison was the best choice
Tell me you don’t understand hockey without telling me you don’t understand hockey… I use hockey as an example because I have experience with both sports. My older kid was involved with USA Hockey for over 10 yrs, while his younger brother plays travel and HS bball now. I’ve seen all types of hockey and bball parents you’d ever want to see. Hockey is about 100x more ‘physical’ than bball but at the youth level (or the pros nowadays) fighting is never encouraged and at youth, it’s almost guaranteed suspensions for ‘fist fighting’ and not to mention players wear helmets and cages so ‘fist fighting’ is kinda dumb and difficult. But all I’m saying is that USA Hockey is well organized and has many rules to discourage unruly and clownish behavior by both parents and kids, unlike AAU, which pretty much allows parents and players to act like idiots. So if a sport that is so much more physical and emotional can handle their players and parents, why can’t bball do the same?! And yes, I’m call out millennial parents. Just look at so many kids today, they have no respect and even less sportsmanship, and their crap usually starts at home.
I've seen a dad yelling at the coach because his son wasn't starting at tip-off. Forced his son on the court while the players were already chosen and in position to start the game, then when the coach said, "You don't tell me how to coach" the dad said "you ain't no coach you a cheerleader" I felt bad for coach. I'm all about my kid, but teaching my kid to be a narcissist is a whole different thing. Be mindful, parents.
I promise from the opening shot I thought the kids were 18... I seen that lady yelling and then I see it's 10 year olds... like wtf Sports Parents are the Worst... Your Kids Are NOT going Pro or Even D1... If you want CERTAIN Success... Push your kids to get Straight A's. Will NOT take remotely the energy required to make a team. ijs I couldn't even watch this... I put it on mute to even comment... Cringy AF!
Isn’t this supposed to be a team sport? It seems like whoever gets the ball needs a show off and shoot because they’re not gonna pass the ball to anybody no matter which one of these kids has the ball in their hands they take it to the hoop, even if there’s other open players on the court, all you are doing is teaching these kids that’s all about them and not the team
And then now the opposing child or supporting child of the parent has to now carry even more on their shoulder because of said parent. They were just there to hoop! Now they gonna back up all that talk
If it wasn't for media, 99.9% of these parents wouldn't be at the game.. Now that media is popp'n er parent wanna be seen and heard, deez parents ain't ish. aka Blaze
Parents living through their kids...
Exactly & it’s sad to see

Most insane comment ever. 90% of the kids who play AAU don't play D1. There kids r just hooping not planning a career
Lmao guess your parents acted like idiots too at your games😂😂
I think the point of the video is to highlight the trash humans yelling at kids playing basketball.
at their big age…😂😂
I'm an AAU parent. I root for everyone. It's a shame that there are parents who encourage the negative energy

Parents need to fall back a bit I went to my kids games and never said a word observed then after said what u needed to say I’m not the coach !

Basketball is trash now
Asking for class from this demographic is a tough stretch.
