So happy to see this video. This book is such an amazing resource and has helped so many of us. It is incredible for building stamina and doing part of the deep bass work needed. Special mention to the Mengoli Study No. 16 on p. 32 which is a wild ride for various reasons!

Do you have special strings/set-up for soloing?
Typically I use the same strings for everything, but if I was playing in solo tuning then I’d be using different strings. I haven’t done solo tuning in a while, but if folks want to share solo string recommendations, go for it!

As part of your technical preparation, it's very useful. The chromatic are your minor 3rds, semichromatic your major thirds, etc.
