I test drove one and was very impressed and with 100,000 mile warranty on the powertrain you can have faith it will last a long time
the best review on youtube, very detailed, and covering everything.. keep it up
Great to hear, thanks for watching.
Thank you for an excellent review! I'm looking up buy one and will test drive it this week.
+beloved803 It was without a doubt one of my favorite cars I've reviewed this year so far. It's so innovative for the price. If you live in the CT area I suggest purchasing from Terryville Chevrolet. Great group of people there! Best of luck with the purchase!
Hey Beloved! Did you ever get one? If so... How do you like it? I'm in the market for one now
Great review, Tyler! The new Bolt EV seems like a pretty neat vehicle! I like how it appears to have a very spacious cabin, and a very 'design forward' styling (inside and out)!
Also, you are so close to 1k subscribers! I cannot wait! Keep it up!👍🏽

Best review I've watched so far. We just bought one of these after our fiat 500e came off lease. Living in Southern California, we drive a LOT and the although the fiat gave us the range we needed (at a stretch), the Bolt keeps us covered easily regarding range. Only have to plug it in once every 2-3 days. So far, very pleased. My only grouse? There is no 'on/off' switch for the sound-system! Inconceivable!
+greenophotography I can honestly say after being in extreme luxury and sports cars, this is one of my favorite cars I've reviewed this year. I'm glad you like it!
Yeah there is. It's the volume knob. The "On/Off" or mute button is in the middle of it. The "Hub" if you will.
There isn't. It's a "mute" button, but it's not an "on/off" button. if it was, it'd stay "off" until I turned it "on" again. Instead, the radio comes on again every time you re-start the car and one is forced to "mute" the sound again. Very annoying. A legit on/off button would stay off until the user turns it on. This doesn't do that.
Excellent video!
Bolt does NOT have adaptive cruise control, just manual. :-(
2022 model does just the Volt along with Supercruise from the Cadillac Escalade!
The regenerative braking does not capture the friction of the breaks by the way. 🙄 it uses the motor as a generator to slow the car down.
Regenative Braking doesn't work by "capturing fiction? From the brakes"'''
44K for a Chevy subcompact?, Ouch!
Well, considering you get to take off $7,500 off your taxes next year, and the fact that California gives you a check for $2,500, you're now talking about a $34,000 car. Now, considering that your "gas" bill will be cut down by probably 50% for the rest of your life....and you'll NEVER have to a nasty ass gas station again...and you'll NEVER have to go get a stupid ass oil change....and you'll NEVER have your radiator leak...your oil leak...your fuel leak....you'll never burn to death, screaming, trapped in your car, as your gasoline tank bursts into flames....i'd say it's a bargain.
+Robert Harrigan You've got some good points there.
Robert Harrigan it would cut down fuel costs by more than half especially if your workplace has a EV charger that’s free. Also no emissions costs. A lot of people think about now now now though instead of thinking about the future. That’s why the average American is in knee deep in debt
Robert Harrigan also you have quite a bit of control over how much you spend on electricity because you could wait until off peak time when electricity is dirt cheap to charge your car. You can also invest in solar power and home batteries to drive down costs even more. With a gas car, when you drive up to the gas station you have to pay the price it says or piss off
When I first saw this car it looked like a piece of shit especially compared to a Tesla. But it is kind of growing on me I just dont trust that GM has not engineered this car to fail after a few years. I guess it will be nice while waiting to get a Tesla.
Out of 37 cars I reviewed this year I can honestly say I left they dealership with an open mind about electric cars. This Bolt is a seriously good car.
it's not a engine.
