You are my inspiration. I have a 1500 sf unfinished basement to which one day, I can turn part of it into a home theater as well. Great job, it looks fantastic...
ozzman8 lol, nah man....the only true life goals are to "Fear God, and Keep His Commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13) :-) Also, getting our baby to sleep through the night. Lololol.
perry king Thank you very much! It's not the best in the world, but it's the best to me, because every specification planned for has been met...aesthetically and performance wise.
lol 99.65% complete ! I laughed so hard Awesome !!! Im living vicariously through you right now Im piecing together equipment for a separates system! Good for you man most feel amazing to actually use it now!
C815richard Oh my gosh, you have no idea what it's like to actually be able to USE the room I've spend hundreds of hours in over the last 3 years. It's just sublime....truly. What stage are you with your separates system?
Ill bet its the best feeling ever! Im piecing together all the electronic components and upgrades I Got my Oppo-203 A Rotel rmb-1075 and 2 parasound amps Panamax MR5100 the wish/upgrade list is a 11.2 Anthem or Arc processor 4k projector may have to settle for a Sony OLED for now ..........I dont own a house I rent :( 2 matching subs 12" to 18" (to start) all new speakers eventually probably the last thing I puy Current system is a Pany Plasma Marantz 7.1 AVR hooked into Rotel and Para amps and oppo, ps4, apple tv 7.1 kef speakers full range and bookshelves
@Brolic Media, I've been following your progress for a while and I love how things have turned out. Great job man!!! I've also cut the cable cord for over a year now and couldn't be happier. I would suggest you try PlayStation Vue, it's much better than Hulu TV, Sling TV or Direct TV Now. I use a combination of Netflix, PS Vue and Vudu and I get everything I could possibly need.
You've heard of the Trinnov . 32 channels and possibly more . I respect that you can expand the sound the way you do . Looking forward to the next video
I've been with you for 7 years watching videos and then recently joining you on Instagram . I know you're a new Dad but I hope you can try to share more of the theater with content we can enjoy in Canada 🇨🇦.
Unbelievable theater Brolic have a few questions how far is your first row of seats going to be can you see any of the weave from the UF material when your closer than 8-10ft. Thanks.
Outstanding !!! I have also been following your posts for the past few years. You might not realize how much of an inspiration you are to us that are putting together a home theater system. The main thing I have learned from you is something you posted on AVS forum ( if I recall correctly ) You might not remember this but someone asked how do you afford such great equipment.... You made a suggestion to open a separate savings account and use that to save up to make your theater room purchases. Ever since I read that, I opened a separate account just for my home theater hobby. When I find something I want, I make sure I have the funds saved up then purchase it. Love your videos and the information you give....stay blessed brother.
wicked 1 Yup! currently own the JVC RS520. The Sony pales in comparison to the JVC in terms of image sharpness, HDR implementation, and a few other aspects. 4K is soooo much more than native resolution (my honest opinion, as the former owner of the Sony 4k).
I'm in Toronto, Canada . I'm a brother from "The Great White North " as the expression goes ! I understand all the wrinkles of CZcams 👊🏾 Maybe you can post another video. Thanks
Donald Oliver man, I wish I knew enough about it. I haven't been following it closely enough. I like it's implementation of the TI chip thiugh....i think it's the same chip that Sim2 now uses.
C FxXng Using two cables output from the Lumagen Radiance Pro: the first is a Celerity fiber optic cable, the second is the MHX Ethereal HDMI cable with HDM-GA1 accelerator (must be used in conjunction with the accelerator to work perfectly). The Ethereal + Accelerator was plug and play, while the Celerity required a bit of tweaking to 4k@60 4:4:4 in order to get it to work. This was all before getting the Lumagen.
Thanks a lot for your info, how long is the length? Also, have you tried connect large capacity (4 to 8TB) HDD to Oppo 203? is it readable by the player?
C FxXng You're welcome! The Celerity as 80ft and the MHX Ethereal is 50 ft. I haven't tried connecting drives to the 203, but I've done it with many other Oppo players in the past with flawless results. I think the max I tried was 4TB...haven't tried 8TB. Would definitely suggest a NAS box if you're going past 4TB.
Yeap Sony is very dull in picture no matter how you adjust it, I've alwats noticed that, I have the 6040ub bew unopened awaiting my small theatre project completion, tryin to do it myself but I may need to bring some help, nothing as professional as yours but enough to be above the average theatre, Your setup is outstanding, been watching since 2012.
Andre Henery Uh Oh--the blockage may be country-related. I think because it includes music, it may not be viewable in some countries where the copyright is not valid...or something like that. I also got a note saying it may not be viewable on some devices because of the copyright....does it work when you view from computer? Where are you located, country-wise?
oh right now i remember - why did you move away from it - especially with using players like MPC, and filters like madvr/ffdshow/lav, and with all the new video cards like the gtx1080ti the results are amazing in both audio and video
Hi, love everything about your setup, but I;m also an audiophile and there is this brand called Acurus and they have this preamp processor called the Act 4, it,s a 13,3 configuration if you want to check it out, it sounds awesome. go to acurusav.com. When do you think the final showing will be? Can;t wait. see ya later. Richard

Wazzup Brolic, question. .....
Did you switch back to a JVC projector instead of the Sony true 4k you had??
wicked 1 Yup! currently own the JVC RS520. The Sony pales in comparison to the JVC in terms of image sharpness, HDR implementation, and a few other aspects. 4K is soooo much more than native resolution (my honest opinion, as the former owner of the Sony 4k).

Donald Oliver man, I wish I knew enough about it. I haven't been following it closely enough. I like it's implementation of the TI chip thiugh....i think it's the same chip that Sim2 now uses.
what HDMI 2.0 cable you are using that allow you play HDR?

Triassic Iceman Ahhhh, you remember those days! My! How time flies!
Brolic Media Have you tried Dolby Atmos for video games ? There's no You tube videos done on discrete Dolby Atmos .

How come I can't see it?

have you ever considered building a media server and a high-end HTPC instead of using dvd's in the oppo?
Aelia Yousaf Yup, been there, done that, enjoyed that: czcams.com/video/n6YYsYX41e4/video.html
