Depending on how much you earn in a year- if you’ve given £2 to a charity or a food bank in the last year, you’ve given proportionally more than Taylor Swift has given to a foodbank.
Don’t be fooled. She’s a billionaire worth 1.3 billion currently. She could give 110 million dollars to a food bank and it would be the equivalent to someone earning the national average wage (around £29,999) giving £2 to a foodbank.
@@arghjayemdo you realize how many counties are hit with the increase in food cost/ homelessness? And ALL of. Those places have less resources than the year before and the year before that. She donated to every single city she stoped in during her tour. One place said she donated enough to feed the homeless population for more than a year! She also gives her band and employees medical coverage and massive bonuses. Her band has been with her since she was 17. She gave 55 million in bonuses just on the US tour and the Europe tour they were expected to receive more due to travel and being away from family. No employer treats their employees better and you sound upset that she donated to the food banks?

Define “generous”? We don’t know how much exactly she’s allegedly given to these foodbanks but Swift is worth 1.3 BILLION.
Last year she gave her tour crew bonuses totalling 55 million! Which is the equivalent of someone who earns £29,999 a year (the approximate average U.K. salary right now) giving a friend a little over £1. The Taylor Swift equivalent of an average salaried person donating a fiver (£5) to a local food bank would be 220 MILLION!
Generous? Nope. It’s a publicity stunt that gets her shitloads of idiots going “oh Taylor is the best” whilst ignoring the reality of things because the numbers are too hard for people to imagine really.

Ok, how does one live off of 29k here? No, the average is probably 40-60k, stop lying. She gave her crew a whole years salary if I'm not mistaken, plus another 200m for hurricane, earthquake relief and food banks. Yes her network is 1.3b,, however she does donate a substantial amount to the places she visited. Even if she doesn't do it, she affects the economy! That's how huge she is. The USA has the biggest gdp in the world. She affected it. The bonuses she gave would equate to $2000 of you with an average us salary. But before the tour, she has donated approximately 50%, $30 000 of an average us salary. She has continued to give the same/almost the same amount, which you probably can't dream of for a lot of her career.
The truck drivers got a 100,000. bonus. I don't know what you're talking about. And it's no one's business how much she donates. You have probably never donated.
