I hear what mike saying about grip strength but the idea behind this session is to build the arms especially triceps and biceps so I would reason that putting too much emphasis on grip strength would take away from giving the target muscle which should be the triceps the full ability to contract and also take away from the mind muscle connection because instead to the triceps doing the work the forearms going take over to control the weight
