This is a series in which we convert our yellow Volkswagen T3 Sunny to our dream camper van. Follow us as we work on the engine, the interior and as we even swap our tin top to a pop top!

Nice work, I've done the same on my T3.
One tip regarding the removal of old paint from the frame (or from metal in general): There is a tool called "Reinigungsscheibe" in german (f.e. the product xt pro from 3M) which works like a charm to bring blank metal to the surface. Keep up the good work 👍

Do not forget to put the rubber washers under the 4 bolts of the tray. The brackets are sealed with teroson.

Thanks for the tip! We still need to look into the best way to seal all the holes we drilled all around. But I'll definitely look up Teroson :)

@@sunnyadvantures teroson RB2759, you can also use sika flex but it is glue. RB is sealant and can be removed.
