I feel quite contrarian to popular opinion leading up to the release of TWW, I’m genuinely excited, as both a lore nerd & and a hopeful mythic + pusher. I think the changes being made to the game, both mechanically & narratively are being made in good faith; in the aspirations of maintaining a healthy player base. I’m a tank main, and even In spite of the nerf/buff debacle that took place recently, I agree with the ethos behind the decisions made. I don’t know, I’m excited to play wow again, just wanted to share a bit of positivity. ❤ P.S. I will say, even as a long-time player, since BC, the systems & # of currencies are overwhelming. If you’re coming back to the game, take your time, read a lot, & ask all the questions. Peace & Good Luck. ✌🏼
I'm excited! I have been playing since launch and I'm always excited to check out the new stuff. Plus, with the current state of the gaming industry, WoW is about the only game I play anymore besides my retro collection.
I played WoW since beta. (I got an Email when playing EQ back in the day, still don't know how Blizz got it!) Anyway, I played every day until Shadowlands and I couldn't take it anymore. WoW's gameplay is still decent, but WoW has lore, but no story. They neglected and changed things to the point that, if you took someone out of BC or WotLK... They wouldn't recognize WoW at all. The tone is different, the 'feel' is different, and the only hype there is are people just wanting to continue with M+. The only people WoW attracts are people still playing wanting to raid or do M+. Even if you don't care about story, the tone and feel of the world matters, otherwise, why even bother having different races if people don't care? What does TWW offer that would many anyone not playing hyped? They way WoW is going is going to be like FF but without the story. WoW should be brutal and about War... it's not that currently. People that quit and look back to WoW wouldn't have a clue about what's going on and the main issue is... Even if they play, they still wouldn't be able to find out given how story is handled. If the world sucks, there are plenty of other games with great gameplay that offer the 'feel' too.
I dont feel any hype , zero. They think warbands and bullshit no one cares about is gonna save the game. They have given us nothing since legion tbh. This was the expansion they should have scrapped the messy gameplay and revamped it. This game has become like Osu ,you look more at your bars than at the game. There is no magic left ,just mechanical snoooze IMO

I was hyped until i saw the all women cast or cry babies talking about their emotions...yet again. I just cant anymore. I'll play Warcraft when its Warcraft again. You know...Orc killing Gods? Not teenager spider girl crying. Or sragon mommy brooding their eggs. I'm done with girl boss stories written by blue haired lesbian inseeting their teenager fan flick as canon.
The classics are amazing Cata, mop, wod all trash Legion amazing BFA could be amazing, fantastic zones and cool first part of the story but they killed that shit after Uldir raid. Island expeditions, warfronts tide of vengence patch killed that shit. SL - was just awful. DF - is okay not amazing but its just there.
