A vote's a vote.
Fully agreed 🤍👍🏽
seriously had to cut it off at the best part? why do you always do this?
They should have an FX Universe of: The Shield, all SOA shows, Snowfall, and It’s Always Sunny just for fun lol
Having Clay look over at Gemma right before the shot really makes the scene even better
Thanks for explaining the video
The silence in the scene is deafening. So powerful, as well as Jax's eyes. Even though you know what's coming it's still so incredible.
That last look he gives Gemma, he’s like “I did it all for you..”
And she would've replied, "you did it for yourself."
He did it for himself. He liked it. He was good at it. He felt alive.
@@maynardperalta3188OK there Walt.
And she did it all for herself. lmao
To me it looks more like a “I will always love you”
Mr. Perlman is the #GOAT!
What an amazing performance by him!
Clay was one of the best written characters for this show… Pearlman embodied clay
so true
Born to play that role 100%
Ironically, he's as unhinged in real life as he was in this.
Good acting since IRL, he's a big fanny
@@hindenpeter2.04you are ye sweat
I miss this show so much. It felt like such a big deal every episode. Every scene was glued to the tv.
Yeah, when it was on it was my favorite show, hands down.
What an amazing character. Ron Perlman played Clay to perfection.
Totally agree😂
I totally agree. Unlike Jax he didn't Blame others for what he was
Ron absolutely killed this roll perfect villain
Say what you want about clay. He knew what he did was wrong but he knew he had to die and he went out like a true g and true biker and dignity
i dont think anyone genuinely dislikes clay, he was trying to protect his club at first then the papers drove him off the cliff. gemma on the other hand...
@@jaydonthomas427 Gemma was worse
@@dakotafox7326 exactly what i meant. as in, everyone dislikes her lmao
A true biker would have a crippling addiction to Hawaiian ice.
@@dakotafox7326 pretty much every bad thing that happened was gemma's fault.
Clay was a real man. Yeah he lied and manipulated things to go his way but did things for love as well and when time came to meet his fate, never tried to get out of it. No begging, no pleading, nothing. Just walked to his final spot, no words, just took it.
Uhhhh… no
A real man would go out fighting
@@blades6351 Exactly
@@blades6351 like you would know.
@@sjames304 Like I would know what?
He was a jerk but that is how a real man goes down. Standing tall and taking his medicine. he created a great character that you loved and hated all at the same time.
I felt for Tig. He was Clays right hand man. You can tell he didnt enjoy one bit of what he saw.
He did blame Clay for what happened to his daughter sooo maybe that makes it easier lol
@Sebastian-km9qx but that was also Jax. Remember, when Ope shot Clay they needed a cover story. Jax was right there.
I like how he walks next to him to his death
I don't think any of them enjoyed it. They just knew it needed to be done.
@@Rj-pw7zs Jax clearly enjoyed it.
Liked that clay went out the way his first kill of the show was. Shot to the throat.
Very emotional scene one of the best in the series. Ron Perlman is a great actor.
He's insane
@@moappleseider1699 Nope, but the orange buffoon is.
@@moappleseider1699So many normies complimenting these Hollywood assholes. Hey guys… The Ron Perlmans of Hollywood hate you. They laugh at you. Americans have been so dumbed down.
Side note: Your country has been hijacked. And your Hollywood heroes are complicit.
Yeah, he got the world to believe he is a good person for years.
@@XKINGXGREENXHow so?
When clay went down so did the show. Clay and happy 2 of my favorites.
I totally agree. Jax was a whiney baby😂
Mine as well
Scene was so emotional Charlie Hunnam almost slipped back to his natural accent
He does that all the time anyway, no matter what the lines are. Hunnam’s the shittiest actor alive.
The greatest series of a show you will ever see i was hooked from series one right until the end fantastic i wanted more!!! 😊
Best episode of the series. The armored car take down, payback for Galen. It was epic. I still felt bad for Clay though. A lot of that is Perlman's brilliant acting.
this show was so great for so many reasons, but the way ron and charlie play off one another is one of the biggest reasons. Like you can see it in Jax that he hates Clay now, Clay has to die and nothing changes that, and everything Clay did brought him there. but at the end of the day Clay is like a father to Jax and it's another thing that breaks him
Sopranos was on around the same time, and it was hard to choose between the 2 so I went with the Sopranos.
@@toyman81 Sopranos ended a year before SoA even began.
"We do have coming in confirmed reports. I repeat, confirmed reports of nuclear detonations in New York and Pennsylvania. My God." ~Ron Perlman, Fallout 4
Took me years to get round to watching this show. So glad I did that. Up there with the classics like sopranos, the wire and breaking bad. Some wont agree with that but I think it was a great show
THE SHIELD is BETTER than everything you mentioned ……..
@@mrmercedes8528better than the sopranos?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 that has to be sarcasm that went over my head 😂😂😂
Great programme.
SOA/Mayans universe is peak
WHAT A SHOW‼️
Ron Pearlman is one of the best actors out there. So underrated.
He's a a psycho
Kills every role he gets.
I agree, too bad he's literally batshit insane in real life
@@gurk_the_magnificent9008 He's a nut
@@gurk_the_magnificent9008 You can honestly not see Drive and think that Pearlman does a good job in that movie, he overacts constantly.
There are actors that make you live thru them, you cry with them, you laugh, you do every emotion with them, Ron Pearlman is one of those! Total immersion in every role he plays. Ron was Clay, RIP.
I totally agree
I like the fact that clay got at least 5 bullets after the head shot.jax meant business.
Neck shot, not head shot

Clay knowing he was going to meet Mr. Mayhem, Jax still wanted his advice and council.
❤❤❤ True words ✔️🔥
he wasnt asking for advice he just wanted him to connect the dots to what was in store for him
@@sebastianzuniga4004 thats exactly what i was about to say. lmao "Jax still wanted his advice" bullshit lmao he was showing Clay he can play the game just like him, because that foreshadowing is exactly how clay would have done it.
You're absolutely blind. Not what happened at all
Jax wanted him to know that it was a done deal, and that given the chance, Clay would have done the same thing, and there was no way out...
Clay looking at Gemma through the glass gets me everytime.
This show died with Clay. He went out like a total boss.
For all his failings, he took it like a man, on his feet.
Golden scène 🔥👍🏽✨💯
EZ wants to be Jax, but he will probably go out like Clay. No amount of fentanyl cash or sticking up for the club by fighting is going to sway Santo Padre Mayans to forgive EZ for being an informant if word gets out.
Only his brother Angel accepts his secret, while everyone from Bishop to Gilly will ok taking him out and begging Alvarez to come back.
Lol, stop making EZ sound like the enemy when his character is written just as tragic as Jax.
@@kendallhurley8596 Poorly written character if anything, he's too informed to be ignorant of his poor choices.
Ez driving of a cliff
Let’s speak facts . Who did EZ tell on ? What case did he build against anyone I’ll wait for it
@Blue Oak Agreed. His education and eidetic memory should be allowing him to make better decisions than he is. I liked EZ alot in the beginning but the writers have done a good job of making me dislike him
Loved me some Clay. He never made excuses or blamed anyone else. Unlike Jax
The casting for this show was perfect
War never changes.
He couldn’t have closed the shades with the ladies watching?
Clay was the best character in the show by far but Jax & Gemma & Nero are also right up there
Hell boy can really play the part.
Yeah. Take one for the team. Sign of a good leader.
to prepare for this moment charlie hunnam pretty much shunned ron the whole season when they were all together off set ron would ask around if it was something he did or said. it wasnt til well after the fact that he knew why charlie did what he did and he understood it, that shows his dedication to the role of jax teller and tbt im glad he didnt come back to the mayans for a cameo(still 5 episodes left 😂) & you can see & feel the emotions in this scene, literally most of the cast since day 1 are together for this, only 3 missing were DL, emilio and dayton. this storyline of clay and everything he did since before & during season 1 went on for 6 seasons w/ some stops along the way & it came to an end here you can pretty much sense that the series was coming to a close and got the feeling that sutter already had it all planned out. Two shows ending their epic
runs back2back years breaking bad (2013) & sons of anarchy (2014)
Nah.....he just did not like that scumbag Pearllman.
I was completely numb to this scene I wanted to feel bad for clay but he made this bed jax just decided it was time for him to lay in it
Best show ever
I really expected Clay to go out swinging
This is the moment when Hellboy became Optimus Primal
Bravo, Mr. Pearlman, Bravo!! Some seriously underrated acting in this and Mayans too.
i’m surprised fx is even posting this
Me too😢
Tig should've met Mister Mayhem too
Clearly ! Tig mades many damage : Donna, Opie, his own daughter who was burned alive, Veronica, Pope.....
Lmao what is with the grunting at 0:45?
The guy in the truck they show at 1:42
Clay got what was coming to him!!!!
Think about everyone in that warehouse by the final episode . They pretty much all died accept for Nero , Chibs and Tig .

Can’t remember Tom Waits being on that show.
I felt like Clay was just another pawn for Gemma
I need to binge all of Mayans, because I haven’t seen all of it and then I might rewatch this show. There’s more spinoffs in the works.
Hopefully a first 9 show
Confirmed?
I loved clay ❤️
So did I. Unlike Jax he didn't make excuses for who he was
So did I 😂
Dam Son's was a special show that made you feel so dam hard for the characters I really wished Clay had a good ending but he ducked himself and others and even knowing his fate he took it like a champ.
Technical question, but why did they need the vote for Mr. Mayhem? Clay wasn't a member anymore. He doesn't need a unanimous decision to be clipped, right?
Technically no but they had to vote on some major issues like taking out the whole Irish crew and clay was at that point in partnership with them so they agreed to kill him along with the rest I’m pretty sure Jax insisted he be taken out and they agreed:
As a former member, they still couldn't kill him because there was a previous Mayhem vote that was not unanimous. Killing Clay, even with his patch stripped, would have gone against the club vote. They had to vote it again to supersede the previous failed vote.
Ron Pearlman - next level actor... .. .... .. but sad to see his meltdowns on Twitter/X.
You were the best host of 1000 ways to die
…overthinking and worked up about Belfast letters (following up Gemma-who took out the the bit of letters that most likely detailed her involvement, along with Clay’s, about killing Jax’s pop back in the day-but then proceeded to hand the remaining letters over to Jax which only highlighted Clay in the negative light at that point)
Gemma’s manipulation was a big part of Clay’s downfall…even tho guy still loved her until the end
lol
When the show ended for me, read spoilers to see what happened after
Got to admit Clay was a great character and the show wasn't the same after he was killed.
“Don’t say gay???”
If they had done the scene with Jax visible to Tara and Gemma having them actually witness him pulling the trigger I think the scenes would have landed so much harder. Still amazing nonetheless
After all the bad s*** Clay did I still felt bad watching his character’s death….a testament to Ron Pearlman’s acting!
Say what you want about Clay but he was one of the best characters of this show and after he was killed off it wasn't the same. No bitching, no pleading, just stood there and took his punishment like a man.
You got to say, though he took it like a G you knew it was happening and he knew he deserved. It still took it like a G.
So did I
Clay meets Mr. Mayhem.
Finally
💥✊🏽✔️
Stil hard to watch even tho he had it coming for a very long time
best show
Dont say!??
Anything where Perlman is unalived is great in my book!
Play meets Mayham
Alot of characters were killed off too early , Clay should have stayed on till the end , same with Opie
Both wouldn’t make sense, opie always had a death wish and clay was a slimeball and it all caught up to him
@@vincentvitale4604 Opie had already left the club. That was mentioned in the first episode. Jax dragged him back in. You knew right then he was never going to make it through the entire series. He had escaped the web only to fly right back into it. His days were definitely numbered as the tragic character. The guy gave up everything for the club and had sh*t to show for it.
Clay knew his fate before he even asked.
Clay was twice the gangster Jax was.
Because Clay was an unconscionable sociopath that didn't technically have children of his own to worry about. He also loved power and money more than his own family.
Jax was a family man with children of his own to look out for.
@@paradigm_sh1ft532I think your both right 😂
@@paradigm_sh1ft532yea right. Jax turned into the villain after this.
True
Clay was an old man that relied on manipulation and deception to keep his place as president.
Shooting a man with at least 9mm in a small room with no silencer or suppressor attached, door closed,no ear protection, will eventually pop half a dozen eardrums.
Well that’s SOA writing for ya
This is Hollywood thou
Ron Perlman looks exactly like
James Hetfield (Metallica)
Mom must be proud 🙄
Clay should've dropped to his knees and pulled a Lorraine Calluzzo.
Tig probably would have taken him up on that.
Loved Clay until the end. Cannot watch this again😢
Me either 😢
Wtf are those background noises around 0:45 ?
This is why I don't own a motorcycle 🏍️
what 😂
Because owning a motorcycle totally means you have to be in a club or gang
They all were just as bad or worse at times than clay was for the same reasons.
They cut the ahot to the neck
Surely this and Sopranos are the two best ever series
Breaking bad, Daredevil, Avatar TLA are all 10/10 as well
Gomorrah makes the Sopranos look like an after school special lol
Gemma was just as if not more guilty but Jax can’t kill his own mom
But he did anyways. Killing Tara was the last straw.
But he did
Don't say? Gay? Don't say gay? 😂
Watch how many people will say perlman underrated on here. Every CZcams clip thats well acted. People whine about actor not celebrated enough, underrated. Yes actors dont get asses kissed enough, They need more
Clay was a cold-blooded, soulless monster. Good riddance. Brilliantly played by Perlman, though
His character stayed on for too long.
Agreed he should've been done after opie shot him
Totally agree. Much better than jax
Jax made so many stupid mistakes it was honestly a miracle he made it to the to the end.
This scene should have happened at the end of season 4 🤦🏻♂️. Dragging it out for contrived drama.
