A harmonica is one of those instruments that looks like a toy but plays like a virtuoso instrument. Great playing.
It certainly sounds great with you playing it. I played a bit when I was possibly 10 or so. My Mom bought me a Hohner Goliath harmonica in about 1955 that I still have today. 👍👍
This man plays it like he was born with it... Fantastic
Man that thing looks cool as HELLLL!!!
Cool? To mre it looks like somebody was super hungry and took a chunk out of that thing right in the middle. What for?
I really enjoy watching your videos because they include the right details and have some amazing tunes coming out of you. Always brings a smile to hear you play. I hope one day to be as skilled as you.
Fantastic blues harp playing....thank you Ronnie. 😊
Wow, Ronnie! That's some awesome sounding blues (as always)! Great demo...🎶
Great playing! Amazing how good this sounds. Harmonica players are always going on about microphones, effects, and amps etc, but it all seems superfluous when you simply hear someone who can really play it
That was amazing! I'm self taught and I purse. The way you play out the side of your mouth blows me away.
Looks beautiful sounds beautiful 😻 !
I have two of the 'old' model, they are great in sound, bending and overblows out of the box. I'm glad to hear that they have even improved that.
Next couple of GMs I purchase I'll be sure to let Hohner know that Ronnie sent me!
Nice to see the company innovating on their product line!!
That intro you play on this advert video is gorgeous!
If you're new to my channel, please subscribe! Welcome. This Golden Melody is in the key of C. Grab one for yourself here: www.lessonsquad.com/items/927334729
Gorgeous! Want one!!!
Your hand tone control sounds fantastic 🎶🙌🎶
Sounds like Hohner did it right . . .again. I love the GM, and I was worried when Hohner discontinued it. It looks like it’s airtight, too.
Ronnie, you make that harp talk, sing, cry, wail. Just tasty playing
Hi brother i been using golden melody harmonicas for a couple years now .i really love them, Rachelle plas is definitely the queen of golden melody and i have learned a lot from her and yourself by the way.Im looking forward to try the new design. Also before i go ,i want to say thanks about your advice regarding your video on the Hohner rocket F sharp ,i ended up getting one and its one of my favorite. Thanks brother for helping us out ,i really appreciate it. Much love to you and the family
Superb. Love the tone.....and overtone(s).
Sounds great Ronnie!
Love the ease in making single notes easier! Nice feature in cleaning.
Sounds nice! The backend reminds me of the tail lights of a 65 T-bird.
The pitch is awesome. Great sound
It's got an endearing honk to it at least to my ear. Very nice playing man, brought it to life.
Great for John Popper style playing!
Mind blowing, Ronnie!
Just what I needed to hear this morning.
Superb sounding
Certainly does have a unique look .. makes you want one. Thanks for the review Ronnie, always nice to hear you play. I'm sure when I buy one I'll sound just like that 😁
Wou.. clean tone...my first harmonica was Golden melody..best regards Ronnie.great playing...greetings 👍👂
Dude can you hear that awesome sound coming from the back?
Yeah that’s my dad playing blues on the rear of a Cadillac..
Awesome sound and design! Thanks for the review!
One of the best harps I had an old Golden Melody many years ago, I miss it a lot.
It has a satisfying clean tone and I can hear its jazzy feeling, specially on the high notes.
Thanks for your review, Ronnie!
You play so so so well!!!
A master .. sounds perfect ...awesome
Amazing!🤩
Awesome. I tried to learn. Now I wanna try again.
I used to use special 20 almost all the time with marine band mixed in Miss those great days when I was blue and the sky was too.
Grande, eres un fenomeno, Gran Armonica La Golden Melody 👀👀👍👍👏👏
Any harp u play sounds amazing that G.Melody looks like a Thunderbird with stolen back lights, but I’m digging it!
Big thanks Ronnie for intro to G Melody. I have the originals G Melody & I use for acoustic Blues gigs. Thanks
Wow! Fantastic!
Love that sounds 😎👍
great skills sound awesome !!!
i'm gonna check them out and add to my collection, thnx.
I always like the Golden Melody, they project like a trumpet; and that housing looks sturdy and acoustic, to further project the sound. Excellent playing and demo BTW!
Like the videos im a begginer with sp 20 rocket amp and golden melody all in c to start with videos have been helpful getting started working on some online classes soon 👍 😮😮😮😅
Just bought two. Had to immediately open them both up and tighten up the gaps on the bottom like 6 of the draw and a few of the blows. It made it play a lot better.
Damn!! Blowing like a Master! Sounding like the Martin / Taylor/ Hofner of horns/harps/organs!!
Great playing Ronnie 😎
Wow you do that well
Superb brother!
Splendid!
You are absolutely stunning on that harp!
Looks good
Cool harmonica✌️😎👍
Excellent
Fantastic sound. Looks like a some kind of Cushman taillamp or Bo 3-Diddley Glasses
DANG! You've got TALENT!
I haven't gotten the new Golden Melody yet, I'm stuck on the previous model, and love it immensely. I'm going to try a find as many of the old models before they leave the market, because I love the way they fit.
The same with the PentaHarp... haven't gotten any yet.
that was a great demo.
I left Horner for Lee Oscar. 50 years playing, I can hear the reeds are settled in for a great tone. No more soaking in beer!
South Side Chicago, baby! Thanks
Crazy looking harp. Great review. Does indeed look like you're blowing into a 50's car. You got skills for sure!
Thanks, Ronnie. Always here. Just not always commenting.😎
I’m surprised they didn’t hit the raised logo with white paint and maybe the ribs too for a pinstripe look, that would look retro.
Rick Estrin and Sugar Blue are my favourite players. This guy has a lovely tone too.
Excellent 👌👌👌👌
Reminds me of Volvo c40 rear 👌🏻😉 awsome new design. Altought I think old Golden Melody looks more retro.🎉
Nice tone
Dang, nice job man.
That is sweet, perhaps I'll purchase B flat as I single note primarily in key of C as the f harp is so shrilly..
This excites me !!!! Thankyou Ron, gave me great insight here as I'm becoming active playing again...
Really enjoy listening to your playing Sir...
nice review !
Bravo! Genio.
Nice chops, m8 👍
Man! This guys' good!
Gooooood playing
WOWZA!
Uhhhhhhh meraviglioso wooo
Big sound!
Ronnie you rock! 3 Thumbs Up!
Been playing the GM’s since they first came out. These seem and sound a bit more air tight. Thanks much.
impressive
You make it look so easy to play. I gave up and settled with a Dan Moi jaw harp😜
Very nice....beauty✨👍
Yeah
thanks for the info , nice jam too you are hella good harp man
i had a gorgeous 25th anny golden melody with gold tone cover plates that was a favorite of mine for years
genius
Will have to try one. I find with the Seydels and Lee Oskar, that the melodies played in the lower register are a totally different beast to the upper register, like almost a different key and mode. Unfortunately my wooden comb Honer did not like the washing machine (left it in my pants before they got washed, bugger). Great review.
i learned in the 60's. i used to soak my Marine bands in water because it would loosen the tines a bit and make bending notes sound better. But the wood would expand so I had to use a razor blade to shave off the wood sticking out.
man you play that harp well
That new resonator (cover) is like a loud speaker for the reeds
What do think of Mark Farner on harmonica with Grand Funk Railroad? Excellent video.
Geil!👍🎶🎵
I was disappointed by the discontinuation of the old line, but I have to admit this sounds pretty much exactly like the original model.
Sounds Cool n Mello
Damn, man. You can play.
That was sick! Wish I could blow a harp like that!
kicking harp man!
smokin!!!
Aside from the new harp review, the player is marvelous. Tone, bends, riffs, all of it.
Okay, so first off, apart from the review, that was some spectacular playing!
Also, I was surprised to hear that you never take apart a harmonica. I'd love to know more about that.
Also, I've only ever played a GM once, and I found it a little too fat in my mouth, as compared to the MB or the Sp20. Is the new one the same?
@@danlaxer514 I'm guessing since he's a Hohner endorser that he has extra harps sent to him from Hohner up the wazoo and so he never has any urgent need to do maintenance when problems arise since he can simply grab a brand new one fresh out of the box ready to go that he hasn't played yet.
@@elgatofelix8917 I doubt that. Not everyone likes to take apart their harps.
@@danlaxer514 "not everyone likes to take apart their harps"
Yes that's exactly my point. Why would he bother to take apart his harps when he as a Hohner endorser has loads of brand spanking new ones ready to go?
Yes, the harp is interesting, but you played it simply spectacular. As they say: it's not the brush that makes the picture, it's the hand that holds it.
