- We teamed up with Exploring Florida Waterways on this EPIC adventure of the Weeki Wachee River. We also had SummerLuxRentals tag along on this AMAZING FAMILY TRIP. We explored the entire river and the beauty that it is. We also topped it off by grilling some burgers!!

@@katjones2781 Hey Kat, it’s important to not make assumptions when you post your thoughts. I really do appreciate your love for the river and I share in the love for the water. We did not anchor in the parts of the river where it was unlawful. We were really close to the boat ramp where at the time it was ok to anchor, eat and relax. Throughout our ride up the river everyone was abiding by the rules and we all enjoyed it. FWC even thanked our group while riding for following the rules of the river. I don’t engage in back and forth on social media so this will be my only reply, but I will say posts and replies like yours tends to divide and put people in a combative state rather than open positive dialogue to find productive solutions. I look forward to continue exploring these beautiful Florida waterways while following all laws and respecting nature while doing so.

🤣🤣 I have never seen a gator on the Weeki Wachee nor have I heard anyone say they have seen one either…. Not to say it can’t happen. We have been tubing on the Rainbow River and there have been gator sightings there.

Gorgeous! Definitely have to do this ride soon! Did you guys run into any issues with getting stuck or sucking up debris? I know it gets pretty shallow in some spots.
No issues at all getting stuck. Gotta stay alert because there are shallow areas to avoid.
Question; are you guys on the West coast or in the greater Orlando area ? I'm over in Titusville.

what are those sticks in the water for? at 4:00?
I believe it was to keep vessels inside of those lanes. I’m not sure if they were doing anything to the banks of the river but it looked like that’s why they were setup there.
Love the vid and looks like a great time. Coming from a local airboater in that area.. Just a little advice.. The Weeki has a ton of people trying to shut down anyones right to be able to do anything fun on it. Posting a cooking vid on it while riding jet ski's is just more ammo for them.. Read up on the controversy from the D.E.P. there.. Its a mess. The last rule change from the FWC bans “anchoring, beaching, mooring, and grounding” virtually all boats, paddleboards, and kayaks on a 5.6-mile span of the river. Glad you didnt get caught,, We dont even idle the west side anymore because of the libs from other places running out to yell at us and call the cops on us...Thanks for the vid though
Appreciate the love! I have seen the changes they are looking to make. I actually filmed this before any of that took place, so I’m not too worried about it. We also make sure we leave places better than when we got there so we take everything with us. It is unfortunate what is happening. I’m all for keeping these places beautiful but sad to see how some people treat others who are just trying to enjoy the beauty of these places.
@@ObiSkiTV On the weeki they are blaming the sand erosion from the people going down the river,, Which is not true.. They dump dumptrucks of sand at the head of the park for the beach there every year. And it wash's down the river. Anything for an excuse not to let the PEOPLE enjoy it. Soon i bet none of us will be riding down it.. We like it but find ourselves going to the springs folks dont know about. Anyway dude,, Look us up when in town.. We can show you some places

From Rogers Park boat ramp straight up the Weeki Wachee River. It’s an easy ride.

Not really, Jetskis are still allowed but the new law will prohibit anyone from anchoring anywhere on the river from the spring to Rogers Boat Ramp.

This video was from over a year ago when you were still able to anchor in specific places along the river way before entering the state park. I understand now it’s no longer allowed however we always make sure we leave places cleaner than how we arrived and made sure to do so. We even had an FWC officer ride by with no issues. I do however appreciate your concern for the spring. 👍🏼
