I can only speak for my own experiences.
My parents and some others projected most of their thoughts & feelings into me when I had no defenses to either stop them or alter their "projections". I clearly recall times when I did not believe nor wanted to believe some of the ugly, nonsense they were "projecting" into my mind (conditioning) BUT had no way to stop it PLUS I had a deep need and desire to please them so I just took in all of their INSANITY and made it my own. Much later in life, I entered psychotherapy to undo the mental/emotional damages put here by my parents and others but have not succeeded in undoing all of it so far. I am not saying that therapy is the ultimate solution but it helped me a lot to arrive at this place where I now can benefit from David's teachings.
Yep. Did a QHHT hypnotherapy session last week (Dolores Cannon), perfect timing to see it is safe to give it all back.

Dont fall into the trap of identifying with the body, mind, the thoughts, the story, the personality or the character that we play. There is awareness of whats happening, without identification with what's happening.
This explanation is so clear, especially towards the end - how the words simulation, computer, maya, illusion, demiurge etc, really are alluding to the same thing - different ways of different times and cultures are saying the same thing. Thank you David, this is such a clear explanation.

@@Jukau Going through some challenges right now. But if I switch off my head and go into the silence, the 'problem' no longer exists. This enables one to regain some balance. The head/mind can only take you so far. Much better to be the silent space of awareness and work from there. Not always easy, but worth the quest. Peace

Life is our mirror what we tell ourselves is very important I am in my sixties most people think I am forty. I always tell youngsters I can do a ten-mile run at the drop of a hat. The other month I had to prove it to get to work on time and I ran all the way up a steep hill.

There is certainly being aware 24/7 and that being aware is constantly here during the waking state but in terms of that Awareness being aware of itself I'm not sure how that would be possible? since the Non-Dual Observer (Awareness) is the very Subject in every experience and we are that Subject (Awareness) but how can it be known when it is not an Object?
.
In Buddhism it is also mentioned about Co-Dependent Arising that the Subject (Awareness) only arises when the Object (Consciousness) arises and that both are inherently empty. Both the Perceiver of the Clouds and the Clouds themselves are Empty. There is no Awareness outside of that just like in deep sleep at night when no phenomenon arises.
david both Nisargadatta Maharaj and Ramana Maharishi said Reincarnation are false concepts?
I think Ramana felt it may exist at the relative level (where one is still 'ignorant' to certain truths) but not true at the absolute level. Bit of a paradox. Personally, I feel there is reincarnation and we have a soul, but once in our true pure consciousness, all of this becomes irrelevant, which is actually the ultimate goal of any soul to realise. Not sure if that helps

it's simple, one must transcend the dualistic aether flow of ones own existence that remains a single open field awareness that has no neutrality or infinite attributes of their own.

It's funny how David mentions Dauglas Harding (the Headless Way) but completely misses Dauglas's basic message. It would be worth it for anyone reading this to look into the teachings of Dauglas Harding and the Headless Way experiments to actually SEE one's true nature as Infinity (using just one passible label!).

Awareness being aware of itself is a concept, not an experience.
The knower, the means of knowing and the known, awareness aware of itself, is all there ever is
@@eastmeetswest5939 Agreed. I have found that the phrase: Awareness being aware of itself tends to keep people searching within duality. E.g. Enlightened Being as a new, and better identity. Again it's language and semantics. Knowing is of the mind with a label, measurement and description. Without it, one would not know what one was aware of.
This is why I find it so hard to take awakening advice from someone like David. He was born into it and experienced it for the first 5 years of his life effortlessly going back to presence at will. It’s like someone wining tattslotto then giving financial advice on how to get rich. He describes the state well but there’s nothing to help the seeker here.
He does a mindfulness practice at the beginning and the whole interview is him explaining how to question the mind.
I'm not buying this. Nobody can remember the first year's of their life.
A lot of people can. Some can remember being in the womb, also.
Endless wittering of empty cliches. How is anyone supposed to be awakened by this stuff? About as enlightening as Mr Miyagis 'wax on, wax off'.
David has helped several thousand people to realize their true nature. This comment is just a reflection of your own limitation as you're still listening with the mind.

Awakening is a false idea , are you not awake right now? So you see it is just another concept and all concepts are false.
