I played Elmire in a college play! And in real life the actor that played Tartuffe was in to me and I detested his advances. True to Life.

I saw this production at Circle in the Square, but I remember John Wood as Tartuffe--maybe a cast change? Mildred Dunnock was in it, also, and I'm thinking maybe Joan van Ark played the ingenue…?
