- Ratcliff Lake , opens year round, offers camping, fishing, swimming, and picnicking. There are 59 camping sites that range from non-electric to full hookups
Built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, surrounds 45-acre lake that was once a log pond for the Central Coal and Coke Company sawmill which operated from 1902 - 1920.

Is Ratcliff Lake inside DCNF?
It is on the Fringes on one side of the DCNF....
There's gator in that lake. Not sure why they would encourage anyone from swimming there.
that's why there is protection and instructions to stay in protected area
@@hoseiimaging6215 I've swam in that lake when I was a little kid I remember. I don't remember seeing any gator signs there. But I was told from other visitors not too long ago they've seen gator warning signs there. Thinking about that makes me feel bit creepy lol. As I could've been eaten LOL!
