This shit is dark man I can picture a drugged out overweight eminem super depressed hearin 50 ways lamenting. This may not be em at as his best but its cool cuz we get to see a real glimpse of how dark this period of his life was.
He had a bunch of songs from this era like “the Apple” that would’ve made for a great album. This could’ve been Em’s “kingdom come” (but way better) cuz we all know he didn’t end up actually retiring. Man what could’ve been. Truth be told Eminem’s music post the re up never sounded the same to me. Recovery was alright but other than that I don’t like him as much anymore.
No it wasn’t he was retiring at this point and on the verge of killing himself. Thats why the last song on the album was supposed to be “Its been real”
@@greatestnitemare6626 this was after that he was getting back into the recording..and it's the encore flow but relapse persona..that's why i said it's the transition between the 2
@@InFamXYT Yes he did. He was going to kill himself and have them release the King Mathers album after he passed away but he survived and scrapped the whole album. Especially since Proof's passing was very recent and he was severely depressed and done with life. That's why he went all out and dissed Lil Wayne on the Goat song and made that farewell song where he's saying his goodbyes
i feel like this could've fit somewhere in relapse (at least refill), with the brutal, serial killer content in the verses, maybe some lines tweaked along with that "relapse delivery", it also would've been a dope call-back to the SSEP with the instrumental using the same murder murder sample + i love this hook, it fits so well.
Would have ruined the vibe doing that.....cuz way it's put it together seems like eminem is spitting from rage in the moment as it's happening where the chorus is more peaceful & finding peace of mind & letting it go....you know the difference of what you do in the moment vs the after thought of how you should have handled it? I think it was perfect job separating & differentiating the 2 here so the screams would have made no sense on the hook seeing as how it was ment to be more peaceful & clear of mind
@@smokedawg4023I know it's a year later but I feel like that's what made the screams work well and come across quite haunting. It's as though he's committing a terrible act whilst the chorus says "the problem is all inside your head she said to me" which fits the whole theme of the song with Em's verses. One of the 50 ways to leave your lover. I do thinks it's a shame we never got this song in it's completed form as the concept is so good.
@@Jacomo101TV same here this is dope definitely would have been way better in completed form & The concept is very good & relatable to a lot of people.
This is both a call back to the MMLP/SSLP in its content and also a complete throw back to Murder Murder from the SSEP. I think King Mathers could have been Eminem's BEST album of all time if he also combined the finished album with Relapse's content. Relapse being side A, King Mathers side B.

I just realized 50 ways to leave your lover is the original song and murder murder used that sample and 50 ways

King Mathers would’ve been fire… but I’m happy Eminem survived and didn’t retire
Crazy thing is I’m 99% sure that this album was supposed to be released after he died of an overdose, but was unreleased because Eminem survived
