It's not that "we thought that we knew better than the coach." It's that the coach hadn't given us a reason to trust him when it came to winning titles. Trust is earned. I can't say I agree with your stance on why a lot of us doubted Coach Smart. We don't trust without reason. Faith was normally rewarded with things like "2nd and 26."
But still, Coach and Bennett showed us they could do it. Stetson can tell me to suck it whenever he wants, and I will simply say "Yes. Thank you."
Look sir we like Stetson he’s a great guy all of our quarterbacks are capable of winning. As a Georgia fan I have been saying this. People these days fall in love with arm strength and down field long passes. He makes good decisions, He has a quick release, He is fairly accurate, good foot work, Good mobility, He is clutch, he is a leader. He gave them the best chance to win in that offense. I also remember when Jalen Hurts was just an average Game manager QB according to everyone. Then Tua was supposed to be the next best GOAT. But look at them now. If Jalen doesn't transfer he probably wouldn't even have been drafted. All because of perception. These days it's all about Hype, Sexyness and Team success that makes people determine if you are a great talent. When there is much more to it than that. You don't have to be the most athletic or have a hudge arm to win games or be an NFL talent. They always act like a QB should be able to carry a team by themselves. But if a QB is doing that you have no chance at winning the big games anyway. Not to mention if you're team is having to do that then the staff is not doing there jobs.

You are also talking about not trusting a coach that has got us to 2 championship games and finished in the top 7 5 years stright which only 2 teams have done which is GA and Ohio state. People based there opinion from him starting A QB who just took you all the way to over time against the best football dynasty all time against the best coach. Got beat by 1 play. But then because he started that QB over A rookie who at the time was not proving himself at practice. He was very inaccurate and did not let plays develop. He was a perfect fit for Ohio state because that's the style of QB that fit there offense best. Every coach in college football would have started fromm in that situation without a doubt. Most fans don't understand most of what there watching and they surly don't know all the stuff that makes them determine there decisions. The problem is that fans watch to many sports media shows who are paid to create controversy and hype and storyline and "THE BIG QUESTIONS" So fans get brainwashed from it and start feeding into it. I mean I seriously would trust the coach and all the other assistant coaches who have all been head coaches in the NFL or at another college or a really good high school or top assistants over the media and Fans! A lot of Fans and media would have put Tua in Over Hurtz a lot sooner than they did. But who wonore championship rings? The supposed Game Manager who would never be a NFL QB Or Tua. Now look at who is better in the NFL. Now if we would have went with Daniel's Like the fans wanted. There is a good chance the outcome would have been different. UT atleast the fans would get there way right? Good thing coaches don't care if you Trust them or not. Kirby also was the one running the Defense at ba when they won most of there rings. When they were known and winning with Defense. Not to mention Nick dang sure trusted him. He was the longest active assistant nick ever had. Took him everywhere he went. From LSU to The NFL then to Alabama. So basically you are like most fans. You are only a fanatic of winning not the actual team. Because if you don't trust the QB or the Coach and don't think we can win without a great QB means you don't trust the rest of the team either. That's like saying you love a certain restaurant and you support and recommend that restaurant to everyone. That's why true fans even to a fault will watch there team even when they are loosing. If you don't trust them then it goes all the way up the chain. You should find another team you trust more. There will be bad apples that you have to get rid of. But Kirby was hired to get a natty. So if you didn't trust him to do that than you didn't trust UGA's decision to hire him which means you are not a true fan. Trust can't be half a$$ You trust him but not to win it all. If that's the case than you should want a different coach that you trust to get a ring. The same fans who didn't trust Bennett or Kirby will be the ones cheering the loudest now that they won. Yes trust can grow stronger with proving it. But you have to have trust before hand. You caint say I trust you now that the job is done. You have to have some trust in them to do it in the first place. If you let someone drive your new car but say I am letting you drive but I don't trust you. But then once you get there say I trust you now. You had to have some trust to let them drive it in the first place. If you thought he was going to crash and burn than why did you let him drive. But I guess with this logic you would respond. Well I was a (FAN) of his driving skills. I just didn't trust his driving skills to drive my knew car. Until he was no longer driving it and was done.
