I've got bad news
48:00 "Why I am at blackjack ?" Well, at the start of this fight, before drawing the booster pack, you got the king of the hill
( at 45:28 ). You were at -9/21 so the king went up to 30 to give you a blackjack, and it kept this value for the whole fight !
So at 47:50, you were lucky to draw a 30 while being at -8/22 x)
Btw that means you were able to draw your whole deck with a 30 in the deck x)
And the King keeps these values over the whole encounter?

I love this game, I really do. I definitely agree with you on how odd the event structure is though. Some of the early events like Crypto Bro, Tavern Counterfeiter, and Coin Flip are really cool!
Yet as the game goes on, it feels like some of the later events are just there to punish the player for trying to skip fights.
While I can understand having some events be harmful in that way for a lot of roguelike/lites, this one telegraphs what event you’re getting beforehand while also giving you a lot of punishing fights, which makes harmful events feel a lot worse than they would normally to begin with.
All that aside it’s nice seeing +2 card get some deserved love, hope to see more!
I love this game, the graphics are genius, I also love that the cards are differently „used“ they are in different stages of being ripped or had been folded once. I LOVE THOSE SMALL DETAILSSSS

I really like the complexity and strength of this deck. It was fun to see the negatives run rampant.
I wish the game had some statistics like: Highest negative value reached or Highest number of cards played to get a Blackjack
I would watch a series of random decks. I’ve been very invested in every run that’s come out so far.
just a tip for a specific card, if your opponent has a jack in the box, exploiting it to set it to 0 so you can later spring it to bust them should be something to be on the lookout for

i had the same type of set-up, and rainman who would do damage based on how many cards ive hit!! it was so sick
i was so sad when he passed up on it 😞
and in a pinch you can add more shield than you would take damage from an oposing blackjack.

what is the benefit of negative cards? I know one is you can cycle through more cards per round, allowing you to reach utility and scaling cards more often, but I was also wondering if completing a blackjack with a negative gives extra bonuses of its suit
It's actually the opposite, which has some utility.
10 of hearts and -10 of hearts means 0 of anything
10 of hearts and -10 of clubs means 10 hearts and -10 clubs.
So you could theoretically stack positive of one suit and negative of another suit and get a huge suit bonus.
It's also great with the loyalty card. -10 of clubs + full loyalty card would be 31/32 hearts and -10 clubs.
You can see your total "suits" by hovering over the card that shows your current total.
Cards that do things specifically with more cards played will be very good with the negative cards too

When you play against the dog, do you ever feel like you're bullying it?
There is an unlock all in the settings if you want to do runs on different decks without treading over the same ground, but you might be considered not very gamer

Finally beat him. I got my first win today against this fucker, wasn't able to play my rules cards and I won because I was able to reduce his deck to only 4 cards so he was unable to do anything. That boss needs a nerf imo but idk, maybe just some card synergies could be stronger when you don't get the op cards
