love it when 2 different types of bikers get together and show what its like :)
I was in a BMX team called Scotia with Sir Chris Hoy who back then just a young boy and great wee racer. To say the man has done well is an understatement of the century.
Sir Chris Hoy actually knows how to film a video on his phone... horizontally.
I wanna see Danny do some jumps around the velodrome. Those ramps, rails and stairs look ripe for some riding.
Yer maw's ripe for some riding
Awesome! Respect for two wheel bretheren from different backgrounds, would love to see Chris, Sir Chris, on the BMX again!
nice to see two different riders getting together and hangin out together, love all the differences, thanx
except for e-bike, right ?
@@samskisamsonof maybe when they get 'really' old or like me when l got hit by a car, riding a trike now slower but still not an E, keep riding
Two extraordinary men.
Great bit of footage. Two absolute legends.
I wish I had a track like that to ride in during the winter, that place is incredible.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh that beautiful roar of the disk wheel, I do love it!
WooHoo!!!!!! Love it.
Cant wait for the Games. The Cycling World Cup was brilliant, awsome. The Games will be even better with Sir Chris.

Finally!!! An Oompa Loompa!! That's what those damn POC helmets look like. I've been trying to place it for so long now...
Great vid!
Damn, I wanted to see Chris Hoy have a go at trials :D
I'd like to see this the other way round.
Danny should have been performing at the opening or closing ceremony
i'm pretty sure he carried the torch for one of them whilst pulling a wheelie.
Hornet Games XD Didn't know that, sounds gnarly!
"The pistons, you know?"
Nice wee vid - Never seen Bridgeton Cross so quiet! Can't beleive those bikes in the back ground were not props...

+Wendyl Balbuena Nice childhood, bro! )
3:12 when hoy overtakes him! thats some serious speed.
Two true lads..
Fab. In the next episode, does Sir Chris attempt Danny's tricks?
That's one helluva velodrome.

In great britan there is now currently 4 velodromes that is more than any other place in the world. I am 12 and I ride multiple times a week on the track and there is many different session to begin on as well as races like the national champs and also track legues for more expirianced riders

Great video! Just wish the captioning was synced to the audio, it's not even close.
Nice wheels, Danny
Классные пацаны !!!!
I'd like to know their workout plan😊 awesome 👍🏾
GO SCOTLAND!!!!!
I love this vid watched it about 7 times today
I hope part two of this includes Sir Chris on the acrobatic bicycle!! pretty please??
Awesome
Danny is the best by far
Brilliant
Sir Chris Hoy should have attempted a wheelie on the trial bike or at least done a track stand for the camera while Danny was showing his skills.
I reckon his sponsors/managers/insurance policy wouldn't allow him to.
@@martingeldart386 Possibly, but a trackstand is not exactly high risk for an olympic champion track cyclist. It seemed as if he didn't like the idea of being humble or giving Danny much credit.
Awesome.
Danny in the Wales glass go
I've been round that track its awesome! would love to do a timed lap on it need to get back on the bike though before i think about booking it
u lie
no I don't lie
How did they do the crane shots? Small airship?
best meeting with best
Want to see sir chris hoy riding trials
Sir Danny!
maybe if i get my seat lower than my tire, i'll be as good as danny
Nope. But at least after it goes wrong you'll still be able to father children ;-)
Seat is down in order to not disturb you while jumping, yet you can land on something soft if your bike comes that high
Or just yank on your bars harder
Where did you get your bike from
Its funny to see the leg speed difference between Crhis Hoy and Danny MacAskill when they ride together
Wiggo and Akrigg??? That would be a good video too!
Sick
THE BEST
Who you do this plzzzzzz make a video of this stunts
Danny macaskill needs a knighthood
Yeah you intelligent being what species of human are you
Nah, I think “Honorary Earl of Skye” sounds more his style...but what do I know?
ET Glynn y rju46
@Chris Landry um neither was Chris Hoy mate
What is the song called it is so catchy
Lovely.
the flying scotmen ! only one missing! njoybikeriding......
awww Danny on the derny
To get where cris hoy is he has to go through intence training session and pain each day for months on end ! I am currently 12 and ride as a youth and the training me and other fellow riders do is of very high intensety even at this age and inonly get 1-2 days rest a week As well as this it takes emense skill to ride track. And if yu do happen to crash like i did yesterday you have to jst get on with it. i am riding tomorow and the speed i crashed at was about 30k+ I also respect danny though
shut the fuck up
i love velodrom wish i could ride it

Those are Clydesdale legs. Holy crap.
Somehow I always thought his name was MadSkill... or something along those lines.
all i can think of now is sean locks chris hoy impression...
SCOTTISH LEGENDS PLEASE!!!
Why didn't he get the Mavic-Track-Bike as well?!?! :P
Nice
Does anyone know what size riser bar and brand he rides
give us some techniques or tricks to do such a acrobats :P
Horsepower Hoy! Anybody know the song?
I have ran on that track the white and blue track
danny really is not an average person
when trials has earned its place as a prestigious sport then maybe that comment will be justified but trials has always been just a bit of fun, track is serious competition
song music cancion : firewater django django
Cool
this dude is super cool thou thou am hes guardian angel as well
There is a british swimmer who I think has more medals then Chris. When ask who was the best british Olympian, Chris said that the swimmer was for getting gold 5 times in a row
Only Sir Bradley Wiggins has more Olympic medals than Sir Chris Hoy. Sir Chris has one more gold than Sir Wiggo though. Sir Chris was probably talking about the legendary rower Sir Steve Redgrave who won gold at 5 consecutive Olympic games.
Why is he shaking his bike left and right? Doesnt he have control while accelerating?
Seems like you don't understand the stresses of going full gas on a high geared track bike. It's a hell of a lot of stress especially for someone who's not used to riding fixed.
BowlG Official he’s a trail biker he’s probably not used to it because when you trail bike you don’t stay stiff
Track bikes are high geared and you have to exert so much energy to get them rolling thats why but once your up to speed it all smooths out. Maybe you know not sure but track bikes have no brakes nor can you stop peddling, that is basically your brake with a fixed gear bike reducing your momentum.
Danny is used to WIDE bars. When you ride wid ebars and bmx style bikes (though his is a trials its similar geom) you end up in teh habit of swinging your bars to exert more force on your pedals for faster acceleration. When you have legs like Chrishoy you don't need to do that swinging method. Though if you watch top BMX racer you'll see that they also whip teh bike sback and forth to increase speed out the blocks.
wow
Don't know who disliked this video.
That Dolan might've looked better with some Mavics...
+Jack Kang lol
Auuuuuuuuuvvvvvvv.Küseeeeeeeellll.
wanna see chris hoy doing enduro and downhill. 😅😅
why is chris carrying his bike instead of riding it? (it damages the tires or something?)
The bike is probably 15-20k worth...and probably takes less effort to carry than push given the weight.
Track bikes don't tend to have brakes and only have 1 gear, so they don't tend to be suitable for road stuff. They are all about the gram grabbing, so they shed anything they don't need on a track like brakes extra gears etc. At least as far as I'm aware.
Yes, it will damage the tires. Wood tracks are so smooth, there's no debris, so the tires are as light as possible as well as being really expensive. And as Jordan says, there's no brakes on a track bike, just a fixed wheel so not street legal.
ali20000513 Shit.... I used a fixie on the road recently in UK, shhhhiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt! XD
Although, it is very fucking awkward, so I do see the point in it not being legal.
YoloMcSwaggins I ride my track bike around Chicago all the time. Fixed gear no brakes. Pretty legal as fixed gears break with back pedal force.
2 great Scots
what’s the point of sub titles that go faster than the bike they ride?
Danny should get a knighthood, too. Sir Danny!
