Almost positive jacoby is singing the" I can't go on living this way" part near the end....no one has ever noticed...but I'm almost positive cause it sound different than Ronnie

Jacoby did the same thing with ice nine kills. He's truly such an amazing guy. And he supported Ronnie through his fall and his rise back up. Everytime papa roach goes on tour. Falling in reverse is with them. They are super close and what an honor to remake your buddies song as your first remake of a song you didn't make
I’m 60 years old and loved papa Roach!!!! This version from Ronnie always gives me chills!!!!
Papa roach version is like an angry teen shouting for help, the falling in reverse version is like that same teen all grown up after realising no matter how much your world seems to crumble shouting for help can help rebuild it

This young man comes very close to Chester Bennington. As with Chester, you can feel the pain in his scream. LP should get him and work with him. He sings like an angel and screams like the devil. Just great 🖤🎧
Just like him, you feel the pain because he transports it authentically. Just great, can't get enough. I think he would be a worthy successor to Chester and could revive LP. Nobody can replace Chester, but this young man is damn close. He gave me goosebumps like only Chester could.

Actually , Last Resort was originally wrote for playing it at the piano , Tobin Esperance wrote it to combine Hip-hop and classic music . Ronnie , just made it to another level !

The crying statue, of all things, is what gets me. So subtle but very powerful of a visual.
I feel like falling in reverse shows the true emotion of the lyrics. I mean, I used to jam out to this, but now the lyrics hit different with the remake.
Ronnie can literally do anything musically. I have seen so many reacts of this song I am obsessed. The original makes me think of teenage angst and this version is the adult version. It’s stunning! Plus Jensen Noen never misses when it comes to music videos 🖤

The original was to me as if someone full of rage was running headlong to take the fight to the enemy. This version to me is them returning from the battle realizing that they were not the same person who went to fight. Hope that makes sense. Speaking from life experience here as well.
Just remember... can't have this beautiful rendition of this song without the original! Lots of respect for FiR & Ronnie, BUT... huge horns to Papa Roach!

The original wasn't really upbeat, so much as it was aggressive and angry. The music was faster, but it never felt like an upbeat song.

Jacobys version is the angsty teen rebelling for attention. Ronnies is the mature adult sitting on the floor in the bathroom with a gun in hand and last second decides to put it down.
I don't think it's fair..or necessarily even right to say this version is better. It wouldn't exist without the original. Yes, I absolutely love this version and have listened to it about 50 times. But it's imo almost a "stand alone" version which only exists because there WAS an original. An anthem for the time. This is now a more relevant version for the chaos, confusion and fear of THIS time. Very different but can't be judged against the original. 💜

I think you're misusing the word "emotion". I would not say Papa Roaches song is "upbeat", which means optimistic... It has a faster tempo yes,, but I feel it conveys frustration, teenage angst/anger at the world. Whereas Ronnie's rendition plays on the idea isolation and the sense of hopelessness, confusion, or sadness it can bring. Two types of emotions on either side of the coin.
Fr tho, jacoby should feel a little embarassed that he buried the meaning too deep behind a more cheesy emo sound. Granted, like some say, his was a younger, angstier vibe(and target demographic) and he was also probably heavily controlled by a label; "ok, this one's too sad mr. Roach, sad teenagers dont buy stuff. Make it more pop punk and less emo. "
The music did in fact drown out and did a disservice to the meaning and darkness of the lyrics i agree with you there. I can't listen to it anymore thanks to Ronnie.

I get Red Hot CP vibes all over from this. The vocals are amazing but I find it yet another over produced mainstream release that sacrifices authenticity for the grandiose. Anyways I´m just a 60 yo d.mb dude that grew up loving authentic music so what do I know.

@@Killermcknightyou are correct everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I am not calling seenitdoneit85 dumb either but I don’t think their comment is a fair assessment of this performance or song version. Seenitdoneit85 seems to forget that today’s artists have something called advanced technology. I grew up in about the same time period as Seenit and can say this was a Masterpiece both in quality of the video and music composition. There are common arguments over who did it better with every generation. Word, we’re not living in that time period when we were younger. One can be proud of the era they grew up in without throwing shade on other generations.
I like Ronnie he’s talented. But I don’t like this version of the song at all.
