I'd guess that pto unbolts and the whole thing comes off a a unit so you can pull the shaft from the inside. Its not unusual for those shafts to leak when a tractor gets older. Replacing the seal should help. I've never worked on one of those. Usually you can pull the seal without a special tool. Just turn a sheet metal screw into the seal and use that to pry it out.

it'll be fun fixing it lol.. i have o-ring picks so pulling it out should be easy..
