- Not a serious rant, but merely excitement for the release (finally) of the Behringer UB-Xa - the last synth I will ever purchase... and seeing so many others receiving their orders already, while those of us over here in The Colonies seem to have to wait months for it to arrive.
I do not mind waiting, truly. I have plenty to do in the meanwhile. I'm just... excited. And it's Christmas. C'mon, Santa Uli !!

BTW, in case you missed the description, this is not a real rant of Entitlement 😁 and the video is also a month late... originally created 3 weeks after the announcement as people were receiving their long-awaited UB-Xa's and making demos. Not entitled, but definitely jealous 😍
Edit: Feb 19 2024, the UB-Xa arrived! Too bad I am so damn busy with RL right now I cannot stop to explore it 💗
Look like the synth is a success. They can't seem to keep up with the demand. Alto gets them here and there. It's kinda of a quiet spot but obviously the word is getting out now. 😛
Oh btw, Uli stepped down as the face of Behringer. He's still the boss man and all but he's over at Music Tribe now looking to the future of the company.
Sweetwater didn’t have a preorder per se, but they did have a wait list that I found out about last summer. Called my rep and got on it. Talked to him a couple more times since to get an ETA. They were expecting them mid January. Called at that time and he said another 3 to 4 weeks. But maybe 2 weeks later, which was Jan 31st, he called and said they got them in. We did the deal and I got it Friday. I’m thinking they’ve sold out of the first batch already and now Behringer has to kick out more, which is why they’re weeks to months out again. Try Alto music though and see if they have some.
I got one from alto music earlier this month, and they have it in stock right now

These are shipping in the US. There is no delay. One is headed your way, if you have an order in.
Sadly, Sweetwater still says they are not getting them... even though there's a Sweetwater reviewer on the page. So, not sure what's up.
I got mine as a customer return from Alto Music store for $1100. I got it in a perfect condition probably turned on a few times. Pretty happy with the synth and the price. You might want to keep that in mind as an option just in case.
Thank you. My UB-Xa did arrive Feb 19, I just haven't had free time to dig into it. I did try it out day-1 though and I'm on the fence. I think not including onboard FX is weird in 2023, though I understand the original didn't have FX either 😁 I'm hoping the magic shows itself in the modulation and layering.
@@VisionsMusicGroup Layering and panning helps. It's a great pad machine. I prefer pro-800 for its rough vintage vibe but for poly pads UB hits the nostalgia spot. We need somebody that can truly program it with top patches.
This is odd-my Sweetwater representative said mine is shipping next week, but I bet the initial ship quantities were very small, and if you factor that with up to 6 weeks for ocean shipping from the factory some backorders might not even get filled when that shipment arrives. Also, because of sizes of the units it most likely ships as an LCL shipment which requires more processing time at the port. Then it needs to be trucked or shipped by rail to them.
Right, I am definitely not a Logistics guy 😁 Right now my Sweetwater guy is looking for any pre-orders that backed out... otherwise, it's more waiting. Which btw I am not upset about, this little rant was all in fun 🥰
I put my pre-order in with Sweetwater on July 1st, 2021. I have already received my UB-Xa. Sweetwater does not have a "pre-order" option on their website, but if you contact your Sweetwater Rep, they can put you on a special pre-order list.
I wasn't insightful enough to preorder years in advance, because honestly I started doubting this was a real thing. I ordered Nov 20 a few hours after the announcement, and just learned today that I missed it by 1 order... and I get to wait 6-8 more weeks.
@@VisionsMusicGroup May I ask, why would you think that it wasn't a real thing? You should be getting yours soon as I just heard that Sweetwater just got a new shipment in.
@@fuguroo I suppose after 6 years, I started believing the haters who called it vaporware so I put it out of my mind. Then, surprise! 11/20/23 came. We'll see if Sweetwater "finds one for me". Otherwise, it's 6-8 more weeks.
I ordered mine from Anderton's in the UK, which has been very good in the past, not even a week after it's release and I'm still waiting with an update a week after I paid saying "early January" and then another in early January saying "approximately by January 31" and that has come and gone and still no additional updates.
Right, which is what inspired this video fake-rant :) I ordered mine from Sweetwater Nov 20, literally 2 hours after the announcement. I was surprised that Behringers announcement didn't mean it was actually in shops ready to go. Sweetwater as you saw says "months". Welp, it's been Months.
